Aspect of the Moon. Now my Warlock City Watch Investigator doesn't need to sleep, only review the current case. Also, what would happen if you had both Repelling Blast and Grasp of Hadar simultaneously? Would you just be playing rope-a-dope or what?

The nice thing about both of those invocations is that they say that "you can" push or pull. You don't have to invoke either of them. Funnily enough though, Repelling Blast says "up to 10 feet" while Grasp just says "10 feet".
Also Shroud of Shadow. Because what gumshoe WOULDN'T want Invisibility at will?
Every time I read that I ignore it because it only works if you stay perfectly still and don't move. You can turn invisible at will, but you turn visible as soon as you move which makes it much worse than the invisibility spell.

You can move and still be invisible. You just can't attack or cast a spell.

You may be mixing up the new Shroud of Shadow with the old, original warlock invocation, One With Shadows.
Shroud of Shadows you can move with, One With Shadows you cannot.
That one has a pre-requisite of 15th level though. That's why I ignored it, my party is at 5th level right now. We're over a year away from having access to that one unfortunately.
Here’s another question. Aspect of the Moon means you no longer need to sleep. You still need to rest to regain spell slots and avoid exhaustion, but you can be doing light activity during that time. What sort of crafting or research would you do with those 8 hours a night? I’m thinking create spell scrolls. The new ideas for combining tool proficiencies with other skills to improve skill checks made me reconsider.
If you have the Invocation Book of Ancient Secrets, you can use that time to add any ritual spells you found to your spell book so you no longer need them on your prepared list. We just beat up a Wizard, so my Warlock now has Detect Magic, Identify, Comprehend Language all at his fingertips.
Oh boy, this looks like a couple months old but I've got this mental idea of this combo: Repelling blast and lance of lethargy. Basically, what I plant to do is push things back and slow them, and I asume the slow stacks so at level 11 I have what you could consider a "root" because I'll remove 30 feet of movement every turn (asuming I hit with every e blast)

Why would it stack?
Repelling Blast only says "When you hit a creature with Eldritch Blast" while Lance of Lethargy says "Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with you Eldritch Blast". The speed reduction does NOT stack. RAW it seems that Repelling Blast would be able to push back with every hit which makes sense since the creature is being hit with each blast. Imagine hitting a creature back 30ft and reducing speed by 10ft. They'd never be able to reach anyone!

Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with your eldritch blast, you can reduce that creature’s speed by 10 feet until the end of your next turn.
So yes, it will stack, but only to a max 20% that reduces down to 10% again at once. So Basically the max is 10% even though for a split second before your turn ends the subject has 20% reduction
Yes! I have BoAS too and seriously considered Aspect of the Moon for that reason... but went with Repelling Blast because pushing enemies repeatedly into AoE spells is so much fun. I’ve had good results with Sickening Radiance and repelling blast :)

Made a Tiefling HexBlade. Going to play him next session. Only level 7, but cant wait to try him out. Been playing D&D since 2nd edition and cant remember the last time I was so eager to play a character! And was really lucky with the stats, roll 11, 12, 15, 16, 17 and 17.
The abilities ended up like this: Str: 11, Dex: 16, Con: 18, Int: 13, Wis: 15 and Cha: 20.
Heres the build up to lvl 7:
HexBlade patron
Invocations:
Thirsting Blade
Eldritch Spear
Agonizing Blast
Improved Pact Weapon
Pact of the Blade
Spells:
Eldritch Blast
Minor Illusion
Sword Burst
Hex
Thunder Step
Blight
Dimension Door
Fire Shield
Sickening Radience
Staggering Smite
On level 8 I will be choosing Polearm master so I can have fun with my Pact Blade Glaive.
Also, I usually make a compendium that I use so I can look up stuff instead of using my phone or tablet. Really helpfull when checking up the abilities my characters have. Some might say I have too much time on my hands while working nights! :D
If anyone got any tips or comments, feel free to share them!
Tested this build a few sessions now and works splendidly. The versatility of a melee character with really good long ranged offensive spells and other abilities is damn fun. Might be swapping out Staggering Smite for another spell once I hit lvl 8 (hopefully soon), but havent found any substitute yet.
Will be even better in melee with polearm master at lvl 8! Cant wait!

I either disengage, dodge, or Misty Step when that happens.

If I didn't change to a Hexblade on my AL Warlock, I'd still have Repelling Blast. In my first two games I saved teammates from many AoOs.

I ended up going with Improved Pact Weapon and Devil Sight
