It does make it somewhat worse yes. Casting Booming Blade counts as the "casting a spell" action rather than an attack, which prevents you making a second attack either from the Extra Attack feature or an off hand weapon attack.
Would this make booming blade less beneficial in sense of damage out put.
Can I make a booming blade attack then second attack
Or can I booming blade then off hand?
Yeah, sometimes you'll want to attack twice instead of Booming Blade.
But I'd highly recommend looking into the War Caster feat:
You have advantage on Constitution saving throws that you make to maintain your concentration on a spell when you take damage.
You can perform the somatic components of spells even when you have weapons or a shield in one or both hands.
When a hostile creature’s movement provokes an opportunity attack from you, you can use your reaction to cast a spell at the creature, rather than making an opportunity attack. The spell must have a casting time of 1 action and must target only that creature.
This bolded bit means you can cast Booming Blade when you use an Opportunity Attack. Bonus: Since the default Opportunity Attack is triggered by them moving, their movement resolves immediately after you hit with the spell, forcing the extra damage automatically.

I'm probably laughing.
It is apparently so hard to program Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul spell-swapping into dndbeyond they had to remake the game without it rather than implement it.
As a blade singer I get extra attack at 6th lvl.

Booming Blade does more damage than attacking twice if the target moves.

That depends entirely on what you're attacking with.

Yeah, you can't crit on the Booming Blade damage when the target moves. It's often beneficial to attack twice instead.
