Temporary conditions (such as Barbarian Rage) could leverage the CONDITIONS panel which allows some overarching effect on the character to add bonuses or penalties while the effect is toggled.
So in terms of the Barbarian, the conditions panel could have a RAGE condition that may be toggled on and off as needed.
I'm not sure how we didn't have this already. The biggest problem I have with a sub-class like Bladesinger, is that bonuses are "always on." Players in my groups forget to "penalize" themselves when not using their class features.

The conditions section of the character sheet is for listing conditions as defined by the rules. What you're describing are not conditions, but temporary effects. The team is aware of the desire for representing temporary effects, and it's been discussed historically as something they'd want to tie to the combat tracker to facilitate automatic duration tracking
It would be nice if the temporary state could be tied to the character sheet and less a combat tracker...for cases where tables don't use the combat tracker but players are using their DnDBeyond character sheets.
In person play, where players are using their DnDBeyond Character sheets on their phone/tablet/laptop
Virtual play, using DnDBeyond Character sheets with Discord and other VTTs (i.e. not on DnDBeyond)
I had a conversation with Jay_Lane about making a tapermonkey script to simulate this functionality. I know they had done some initial work in between contributing to the AboveVTT project. There's just so many different options that it is a huge undertaking. I know it took me weeks to create a system using magic items that replicate these temporary things.
