I used to use Kobold Fight Club all the time, and now some Google issue is causing it to not work anymore, so I'm trying out DnDBeyond's Encounter Builder for the first time.
Does it have to be so complicated?
Kobold Fight Club was so popular because it's absolutely simple. You don't have to drag any sliders to determine what CR or size you're looking for, you just type it in or take it from a dropdown menu. Why all the sliders? Why all the fancy yet slow animations of the dropdown menu opening up when you click on it?
Is there any way we could have a much simpler version of the Encounter Builder that's easy to switch to, simply for seeing whether a certain combination of CRs against a certain level of party is Easy, Hard, or Deadly?

I agree that drop-downs would be handier than the sliders for CR and size.
I’m not sure what you mean about “fancy yet slow animations of the drop down menu.” I’m not experiencing anything like that. Can you be more specific? Which dropdown(s)? What kind of animation?
When I click the dropdowns, instead of them just popping into view so I can quickly click them, they have an animation that has the list slide downward. It's a small amount of time, but it adds up when I'm trying to work with them. I have yet to try turning off hardware acceleration to see if that makes them faster or something, but I feel like animation is an unnecessary bell/whistle for a practical tool like this, and it should work on the lowest-performing system or have an option to.

Hunh. It’s no slower for me that a “regular” dropdown; quite frankly it doesn’t feel like animation to me, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t technically. At the moment I’m working on an iPad Pro. I’ll try to check Chrome on my Macbook when I have a chance, although I DO have hardware acceleration turned on there, as I use the digital dice.
There is a 500ms animation on it. Maybe reducing it to 100-250 would be better but I'm not sure if this would have an impact on lower end machines or not. Since we're talking half a second to open and half a second to close to begin with that's not a giant wait for those of us with ok machines. Making it better for those with lower machines obviously is not a bad thing. I personally probably prefer the sliders to a drop down for CR having to scroll through a dropdown would take me much longer. I'd be open to fillable fields that sets the sliders though.
Edit: I just realized there are dropdowns/fillable fields. Click the numbers above the sliders. They aren't bad with scrolling either.
