There appears to be no Transmuter's Stone I can add as an item to my Wizards or take as a drop from enemy Transmuters. I published one as a Homebrew, but it was rejected for containing copyrighted material (the capabilities of a Transmuter's Stone from the PHB; I wasn't trying to be original).
Why not create an official version? Ideally, you'd be able to toggle its different capabilities to automagically give the right resistance or ability, but even a placeholder item would be nice.
As long as Wizard of the Coast does not publish an official item with the property of the Transmuter's stone, DDB can't create such an item on its own.
It is an official item. Just because it's listed within an archetype description doesn't mean it's not an item. The current equipment section has loads of items that aren't in the equipment list of any official book, like a lot of the background items (pouch of sand, small knife, etc.) so I don't see why or even how "it's not an official item" is a valid reason.

"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation."
I agree that it is an official item, I don't question it.
All I am saying is that, as per the agreement WotC-Curse, only magic items with a defined description in a "Magic Items" section can be created as an entry in the Magic Items listing.
Not saying that this won't change. I will talk with the devs team to see if we can add this.
Just as information, little bag of sand, small knife, are all items listed in Equipment Packs (PHB).
I appreciate you explaining the legal context and talking about it with the devs. Hopefully it not being defined as a "Magic Item" in the right source was just an oversight that can be sorted out in time.
Note that you can create it as private homebrew and it will be shared with your campaign group; you just aren't allowed to publish it. That might tide you over until (hopefully) this can be addressed.
Since this thread they have implemented ad hoc customisation so you can easily add the effects you need. It's also pretty easy to make a homebrew item. This is still better than pen and paper. It is very unlikely they will ever do this for you
