My idea is simple, when a custom campaign is done, they can post the campaign in the lore section and set up a poll. If enough people approve, with the mods/admins votes counting for 2/3 the votes, finishing the campaign will win +2 slots.
There's also the adventures on the paid list as well, they should automatically grant +2 if someone finishes each of them.
But each +2 gain only happens once per adventure/campaign.

This statement is meant to be both provocative and condescending. Look at these pathetic huddled masses in their private and closed games, cringing behind the policy of no homebrews and no custom content. This is an insult and injury even to fire types. HEED THIS! Your better off playing rpgmaker. It's everything this place wants to be when it grows up. Seriously. Otherwise, good luck, they will overdo things. All because of safety and security... kor.
If character slots are an issue, I would highly suggest the Hero Tier subscription. Can't really see a plausible way of having a community vote allowing to bypass the subscription model which helps keep this site afloat.
Hero Tier
Monthly - $2.99/mo Biannually - $14.99/6 mos Annually - $25.99/yr
Intended primarily for players, this tier removes ads, allows you to create an unlimited number of characters, and add publicly-shared homebrew content to your collection to use within the toolset.

And how, oh wise and moral one, do you propose that this unpaid moderation should be ablet to handle someone who "plays" multiple adventures with no other players to "the end" and then votes to gain effectively unlimited slots?

Report a finished adventure as a victory. But crack down on the spammers in this case.
Further, it's tied to the account, not the characters.

Or, ignore this proposal, and just reward people for being active on the site. By far easier, but way more lazy.

I believe being a mod on this site is not a paid position. How exactly is he just thinking about the money, in this case?
Honestly, the subscriptions are completely worth it as well. Completely unlimited character slots, as well as content sharing if you get the Master's subscription.
I also like how you say "mods like you" as if that was an insult, when Sedge has replied patiently and politely to all of your many threads with various (in my opinion inane) complaints about this site and D&D itself, which you somehow think he can change personally and just chooses not to (and apparently chooses not to so he can earn more money?).

Well, there's the option to throw away the voting and force people to buy the expansions, if greed is the motive. Just choose 'paid adventures only'. Now that's definitely lawful evil.

#1: Not entirely sure what this is supposed to mean in relation to my comment.
#2: 6 character slots is enough for 6 campaigns. That's plenty campaigns, especially if you have a job or go to school. Likely, you won't have enough time for more. If you do? Buy a subscription. It's not even that expensive.

Some may like to submit claimable characters on campaigns. They may not have the time, but it's not fair for those who have a keen interest in such. Even if it takes them forever, there's always that eventual chance that they may use such.
But to merit it, past 6, I'm thinking earned based on activity checks to favor it.

This still does not seem to relate to what I said. Submit claimable characters on campaigns? I'm really not sure what you mean here.
Earned based on ability checks? Excuse me? You're suggesting DDB gives out character slots based on ability checks? I don't even know where to begin here.
Also, I'm quite sure the mods would appreciate you not making these threads, since they actually can't do anything about your complaints. Complaining about how D&D is played to them is a waste of time, as they have no power over it.

I have to admit I find Reison`s constant assertions the Dndbeyond is evil just because they dare to want to make a profit on their product and not thankful that they make the personal homebrew system open to allow anyone to recreate their work with effort. Allows anyone to use the site for free just limits how much they can save. How dare they produce a good product and expect to get paid for their effort.
On a more relevant note how about allowing users to gift a sub to people I think they are working on gifting books. If you like the homebrew or a guide they made they make gift them a month of subscription and dndbeyond send a little note (anonymous or not). You want to donate a random sub allow the mods to award it to non mod members.
Everyone is happy you reward good work dndbeyond stays open.

I don't understand why you think getting paid for work you do is evil. I don't walk into my job and think " I work all day yup I should just decline my paycheck because how dare I think I just deserve to get paid."
Merit and potential. In an enlightened society, all you really need is faith, love, and wisdom unlike morals, ethics, and civics.
I've figured a way to do that, but that's off topic.

All you really need is faith...
Two men prepared to leap from the open door of an aircraft cruising at 12,000 feet. The first man had unwavering faith that his parachute would guarantee his safe landing on terra firma far below. The second man placed his unwavering faith in the umbrella he gripped in his right hand.
All you really need is love...
Two men shared a few drinks and waxed eloquent about their undying, unadulterated love. The first spoke of his love for his fellow man and for his power to give freely to others. The second spoke of his love for himself and for his power to make others suffer.
All you really need is wisdom...
The leader of a new nation determined his government would be founded upon the wisdom of the government's being an instrument that serves and benefits the individual. The leader of a different nation founded his government upon the wisdom of having the good of the individual subservient to the good of the whole nation.
To further complicate matters, the first and second person in each example above considered himself thoroughly enlightened.

If you are the type of person to create multiple premade characters for others to claim, you are probably also the kind of person to share your books, so you probably also have a master subscription. If you can't afford the master subscription and/or books to share, the hero subscription is very affordable.

There's a check to it, mods like you. But your only thinking of the money, and not helping those who cannot pay.
I'm thinking in terms of promoting more creativity and imagination with the public, which is by far wiser and more civil.
