Infront of you stands a dwarf in a heavy cloak. beneath the cloak shimmers his plate armor...
the grim look upon his face announces that he will attack any moment. You are prepared for him to pull out a big warhammer and start hitting like a truck.
He flutters his cloak to the side and instead of a warhammer he pulls out a handaxe an throws it, he pulls out another and throws it and another and another and another.
Funny story, but to the point. Handaxes dont stack in my inventory of the characters sheet but Javelins do. Could we get a QoL change for axe throwing rangers?
There are significant limits to throwing axes, you can only have so many on you with others being in a bag that will take an action to retrieve. Even with a bag of holding (which does not hold as much as people think) you will have a small number of handaxes and this is extremely niche, so I see no reason for this to be implemented - given the compliation of how weapons are handled by the system It's a lot of reworking a system for a tiny little thing very few people need. Given that they're study and often retrievable your quantity isn't going to change much.
Try just noting the handaxes in personal items box. Or make a custom item on your sheet to track quantity and weight. Done. Easy for you, takes seconds, as opposed to devs taking days awy from other projects everyone wants.

Its not about the limits or rules of 5e throwing axes. It's about them not stacking in my inventory. Maybe I'm a hoarder and have 5 of them. It clutters the inventory list.
Maybe this even counts for daggers or light hammers!? (Went and checked, yes daggers and light hammers dont stack either) Many a rogue playing like the critrole one with their daggerdaggerdagger.
So even if its "so niche" I still hope devs could make the time for maybe a toggle to stack these throwable weapons or stacks them like Javelins do.
And you dont have to agree with me, but it's the feedback part of the forum, and I just gave them my feedback :3
