Hello, this is my first post on this forum, I hope I'm using the correct section.
I've purchased the Essential Kit (Italian version, if that matters) but I have not found any code inside, while I've read online that there should be a few codes to unlock the Icepeak adventure and the following here, and also a PHB discount.
They should be on the flyer, but mine has no codes on it.
The language matters. From what I have read, only the English versions of the Essential Kit comes with codes since Beyond is an English based website and it does not really support other languages. It would not really make sense for Wizards to include content that is only available in English in a product that is not in English. While the Italian version of the PHB compendium exists on here, that is only a trial run, and the run did not do so well financially, so any efforts towards localization by Beyond has ceased for now.
I couldn't find the code on any paper, and I think they remove the code in the 2021 prints. (there is no mentioning at the back of the box of "including D&D beyond codes".

Are you sure you bought the Essentials Kit and not the Starter Set or something? At least in the United States, the Essentials Kit should all come with codes.
Unfortunately, 2022 boxes come without the code =( I just bought one from amazon and no code or any mention of it in the actual box. Hopefully now that beyond is part of WotC they'll restart this promo again??
I too bought the physical box for the codes and the continuation stories
its so sad because i didnt knew it until its to late, and in the spanish version of the page when you sibscribe it says that you will recibe the essential kit just for signing... it doesnt download.

I also bought it for the codes, but unfortunately, nothing. I feel scammed
They have stopped offering codes for the Essentials Kits for quite a while now. If the Essentials Kit box does not mention anything about codes, then it does not contain any codes.
I do see some older prints of Essentials Kits that do contain codes from time to time at some stores, but those are few and far between. You will know if it comes with a code because it will be advertized on the box that it does.
the same thing has happened to me because the place i got it from said it had the codes on the website so when i went to buy it from the store i assumed it did have the codes inside but it diddnt.

Just return the product. There are no free codes on the website.
If the box does not say it got the codes, then it does not have the codes. Most copies of the Essentials Kit do not have codes. You will have to be very lucky to find an old printing of the box that has codes.
Mine doesn't have any codes on the flier, what should I do?
Nothing. Maybe the store will accept a return, but they are not obligated.

What are you trying to accomplish?
If you want the digital-physical bundle experience, you can keep the physical box and buy the digital copy. Alternatively, you can return the physical box and try to find an old printing of the box that contains the digital code, but the effort and cost to getting one might not be worth it.
If you do not care about the physical product and are more interested in the digital experience, then return the physical product and get the digital one.
If you do not care about the digital product as much, then just keep physical box. You do not need Beyond to play D&D, but if you do want to use Beyond down the line, you can still run the adventure by referencing your physical booklet and referencing everything else on Beyond. Dragon of Icespire Peak is pretty basic in terms of content, so most of what you need to run the adventure is already available for free on Beyond, and only work you will really need to do are some minor homebrew for a few specific monsters.
And in case this information matters, there is a difference between the physical Essentials Kit and the digital Essentials Kit. The digital Essentials Kit got three extra adventures to expand on the original. The physical Essentials Kit does not have the extra adventures, but it comes with extra physical goodies and trinkets which you can look up on Wizard's website.

This was my question as well.
I planned on buying the Starter and Essential kits for my 9yr old and myself...
And was wondering if, (bought New) would both kits come with digital codes for redeemable copies on DnD&B.

That's too bad, I would have no problem with the adventures being in English.
Oh well, guess I'll just do the first one then.
I have bought the English vision but no code either. I bought it only for the codes.
The code is on one of the flier/paper in the box.

I purchased Feb 24, 2024 and my copy did include the codes for D&D beyond. Possibly old stock?
Sounds like it. Lucky you!
