I have a level 10 (Sorcerer 6, Warlock 4) character. I would like to add Metamagic Adept for the ASI in the Sorcerer class, but am unable to do so in the ASI for Sorcerer or Warlock. I am unable to find a rule that states that my character is ineligible to take the feat, so I think this might be a bug. If there is a rule that states I am unable to take the feat could you please point me to the rule? Thank you!
You've got the metamagic feat applied to the character already, that's why it's not showing up in the dropdown. You don't have any choices made, though. When viewing the character sheet, go to the features & traits tab, click on feats, then 'manage feats.' The list of feats should open in the sidebar. Scroll down to the Metamagic Adept feat. If you got it from a source such as a class ASI it should say. If it doesn't, you added it manually, and you can remove it to add it properly as an ASI, and you can update the selections.
Ugh, I must have added it via the "Manage Feats" option at the bottom of the sheet and not through the character builder. Removing it from this section allowed me to add it through the character builder. Thank you so much for your help ArwensDaughter and pocketmouse!
I'm having this problem as well. Creating a Cleric and don't see the Metamagic Adept feat as an option. I do own Tasha's Cauldron of Everything as well. I don't understand why it isn't showing up. Prequisites state you have to have Spellcasting or Pact Magic feat, which Clerics obviously have Spellcasting. Why am I still not seeing an option for Metamagic Adept?
I believe this is still a bug, but of minor significance. I have the full version of Tasha's on my only account. Entitlements are in sync. If I create a new character, I can select Metamagic Adept during character creation successfully. I cannot, however, go back for an existing character and see it in the character builder list. It is a minor inconvenience to have to leave the ASI unselected in the character builder despite it existing on my character sheet and working normally in every other way.

Edit: I own Tasha's on the platform.
Please post a link to your character sheet.
thank you for specifying that you own Tasha’s here, as that rules out one potential cause.

Thanks for the reply! I've added a link to my character sheet below. I probably just made some silly mistake when building my character.
