I was running a game earlier today and was able to play combat , damage worked fine. On the next encounter I suddenly cannot add any damage to any monster - had to whip out the good ole pen and paper. could still roll from the stat blocks, but was not able to add damage ... even restart the encounter does nothing. And the same encounter I ran before I cannot do it on anymore. So it does not feel encounter based but not sure.
Thanks for the report - have asked the Wizards to start casting "Locate Rogue Kobold who pulled the wrong lever" (Yes we have some very specific spells at times).

Can we get a root cause for this? Was it a bug that was added/then fixed or can we expect it to happen again?
The Wizards have concluded their castings and advised me that the Encounters tool should be working as expected again. Thanks for raising the issue so we could get it resolved.
I have the same or a similiar problem. Browser or platform does not matter.
The damage for players in a campaign cannot be applied, only for monsters and manual entries. This worked since befor the last big update. Is this intended?
I use the Combat Tracker behind the DM Screen when we are at the table and none of the other players uses dndbeyond.
Entry 1.: Manual Entry. I can click on the HP and apply dmg and heals
Entry 2.: Monster. I can click on the HP and apply dmg and heals
Entry 3 and 4.: Players I created that belong to my account. Here I cannot click on the HP and apply dmg and heals.
So this means the combat tracker is working as intended. This is a little frustrating, since this option was available in earlier versions, but those versions were not able to propagate the players HP ^^. Take some, give some.
I would love an option where I could allow the DM of a campaign or similiar, to change HP. Or to change the HP for characters, that are part of the same account.
In the same vein of issues, when my players do update their health the combat tracker doesn't show it unless I refresh the page. I discovered this last night during our last session. I doubt this how it is supposed to work as it makes the tracker worthless.

I have same issue! Can’t deal damage on firefox (pc) and safari (ipad)
And it also seems there may have been a glitch, since the encounter I just completed with the party reset as well. So it does seem a platform issue.

Wary the wizard who focuses on homebrew, for he can create nightmares that you wouldn't even dream of
Same thing happening for me, I can't set any damage in the encounters. Chrome on PC.

The Player Characters are done from their character sheet, they update their own health, not the DM running combat.

But alass, DnD is fun anyway ^^
No worries, I've added this to the feedback Productboard for the team to see.
