D&D Beyond is a separate company from Wizards of the Coast and as such there is no way to redeem your book purchases on the site, either for a copy of the book or a discount.
The only way to 'add' the content is to use the homebrew tools to copy it in yourself. Otherwise you'll have to purchase it here
For a detailed explanation of why you can't do it, and what options you do have, I highly recommend reading: A Buyer's Guide for D&D Beyond
I appreciate the recommendation of the Buyer’s Guide, and it does spell out a lot of purchase options, but it does not address “why you can’t” “import” hardcover books. Furthermore, as the OP of that thread, I specifically asked that arguments about the pricing structure not happen there. A better thread for the “why you can’t” part of the equation is this one: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/d-d-beyond-feedback/96069-hardcover-books-d-d-beyond-and-you-faq

I thought D&D Beyond and Wizards of the Coast were the same company. I had a similar situation with another service and I was also unable to get an electronic version of William Faulkner's a Rose for Emily there. I wrote a paper about this book then, and only help from https://studydriver.com/a-rose-for-emily-essay/ helped me finish on time. I would like to see the option to receive an electronic version of the book when buying a paper one. I think this is already implemented somewhere, but I have not seen it. Thanks for the link. This answered all my questions
Hey, I own the Hardcover of some dnd books. Can I include them into the app so I can use the content?
If so, how?
If not... do I get a discount on the purchase bc I already own it in paper?
Best regards
Hantaa
