We've been using Beyond since launch. We own multiple books (on Beyond), and the PHB is certainly one of them. He joined the campaign (on Beyond) and is ironing out his character. However, he cannot see the Charlatan background. I, on the other hand, click on his character, click the builder and look at his backgrounds and I DO see all the backgrounds available. All of our content is shared, and out of the 5 or so different campaigns we've done on Beyond, this is the first time something like this is occurring.
Any suggestions as to why this player can't see those options?
You and he should both use this link to ensure that your respective Account Entitlements are in sync: (https://www.dndbeyond.com/account/marketplace). If that’s not the problem try turning your content sharing off and back on again.
We just figured it out, he somehow was on his character's editing pages but his session must have timed out or something. He wasn't logged in anymore, but was accessing his edit pages. Upon logging in it worked out. Thanks for answering.
I've had this happen before (more than once) when a player joins a campaign and cant see shared content, but the DM can.
I think it is a caching or cookie issue. It always fixes itself eventually. It can probably be fixed faster by turning sharing off and on again, but haven't had opportunity to try that.
