Hi everyone, I'm getting a little bit confused by how HP management works when leveling up on D&D Beyond. Here's the scenario: -

• My players all hit level 3
• I asked them to all roll a hit dice and add their CON modifier, which they did.
• Now, this is where it gets confusing. They all used different methods to raise their HP (see Bard and Ranger below)
• So there are just two things I want to know: -
  • What is the correct process on D&D Beyond for raising their HP on a level up.
  • Which fields should they be entering HP into on the 'Manage HP' modal'

DDB will automatically add the Con modifier on level up, if the player uses the fixed HP they need do nothing at all as DDB will also automate that for them as well. If they roll for HP, then they simply need to add the amount rolled to the correct field in the Character Builder labeled “Rolled HP” and confirm the new total.
