Hey guys!

I'm fairly new to DnD and DnD Beyond so please have patience with me😅

My character sadly died last session we were playing..(Barovia is pretty unforgiving) And now I have chosen to create a new character, a paladin Aasimar, and I earlier was able to export his pdf for some reason. Now, suddenly I can't export him anymore. I figured it most likely had something to do with the additional features, but after a lot of removing stuff, recreating the character, disabling addons, and using different devices, I still get the "We rolled a 1 on our API check".

I assumed my DnD beyond was kinda bugged or something, but I can easily extract my previous Halfling friend which sadly passed away, so it seems the issue is character specific.

So I thought the race of Aasimar was bugged, but that didn't make a difference. I also thought that maybe the class was a problem, but that as well didn't change a thing.

I also tried removing some items, I tried removing mounts, I tried shortening down his name, and shortening his description in the notes, but nothing succeeded.

I was succesfull in exporting the character earlier before I tweaked him more with the additional features, but even after recreating him without the additional features, I still can't export him.

I pray to god someone here has a solution, because having the physical character sheet does so much for me in these sessions. I really don't like to navigate inside the app during a session. (The app works fine btw, so I should be able to play nonetheless.)

Things might look a bit out of order, that's because of some deals me and my DM has made between us, but if something stands out as impossible, feel free to share your thoughts👍

I’m not seeing anything that should be causing a problem, like there’s no homebrew with odd formatting or font or anything like that. However, I can’t see the last few tabs of the sheet, like the background or notes, so there may be something there I don’t know about.

Try this, add a point of inspiration and then refresh the browser page, then remove the inspiration and refresh the page again, then wait 20 minutes and try to export the character again.

Hehe, I tried but it didn't fix it unfortunately. It doesn't even process for a second before it jumps to the error message. I get an error code, but idk what to do with it, it changes every time.

I didn’t look at the document because that obviously exported so there couldn’t have been anything wrong with it. Other people just can’t see those tabs of a character sheet in the app.

Try copying the character and see if you can export the copy.

Yeah, I tried, but it still won't work. Even tried changing the race and class of the copy, but it seems there's something fundamentally wrong with the guy I'm trying to export. And if my previous character couldn't export I would've thought there was a bug with the export function, but I have no issue with exporting my deceased character🤷‍♂️

Kind of clueless as to what the problem could be, but I issued a ticket to DnD Beyond a couple of days ago, could be they find a solution there😅
