Posting here is like screaming into the void. Constant service disruptions and never any communication to explain what is going on, and more importantly, what they plan to do to make this service functional. And, everyone should receive pro-rated refunds based on outage times.

But instead they are giving everyone a free month of subscription - presumably this will up their "subscriber numbers" for the next message they send to their shareholders.
Getting very concerned. Can you please address your community on all these crashes?
Many have spent significant funds on the site and are starting to feel a bit silly. Multiple game sessions with family and friends (tough to coordinate these days) have been blown or disrupted with site issues. We are trying to remember to print pdf’s in advance of any session, when we can, to be safe when we can finally gather.
I feel very bad for folks out there running pro games and sessions at shops or events. And, I’m a bit sickened by all the content I have bought here (rather than another platform) if the stability continues to dissolve. The idea of switching all the characters and campaigns to roll20 or some other platform is daunting. Better to just shift to a different core game system altogether if we are relocating to Foundry or Nexus. But, my players all invested time and money here as well… which also makes me feel a bit guilty. Please talk to us about this ongoing issue with reliability. I’m sorry if I’m missing your posts on this somewhere. I did poke around a bit here and on social media looking for some strong clear messaging. Its feels awfully, eerily, quiet.
These rolling bugs can’t possibly be thought of, by the company, as being good …considering the timing. I’m honestly stressed on your behalf… but also feeling frustrated and unsettled.
Would be thrilled, and maybe fully placated, if a video popped up on the main page with somebody just sayin'... "Holy @#$* people! We are havin' a helluva time. Things just blew up and we are freakin' ouuuuut! Just threw up on my keyboard. But we are on it! Ghaaaaaa!"
Fellow players and DMs any good solution in the event of a serious need to give up, call it all a loss (products, home brews, characters), and start over?
Whoops! We rolled a 1 on our API check. We're heading into town to visit the blacksmith for repairs.
Try again after a Short Rest.

@dndbeyond/character-app@1.32.0
It's been happening everytime I want to access a pre-existing character or create a new one for the last few days. It's getting quite frustrating, I must admit ! Is there anything that I can do that could help ?
Thought it was just me and was scared that I had a problem on my end. Simultaneously relieved and concerned that it's happening to other people. Relieved that it's not just me. Concerned that even though it's happening to multiple people it still hasn't been fixed.
Just a heads up - despite the name of this forum, dndbeyond does not actually provide support here. The only way to potentially get support for dndbeyond is to submit a request to Wizards of the Coast via the Help Portal link below.

But don't expect a quick response, since over the last month they've been getting thousands.
Also, this thread was started less than a month ago - software doesn't get fixed that quickly! hmmm
Gone again...
How long did it stay down last itme? Of course in middle of a session.
ChangeLog shows that they've introduced free subscriptions for all - maybe that involved an update to the character sheet app.
It's still down, what's going on? I've tried refreshing it like 10 times now...

I just paid for the yearly subscription so I could make more characters and I can't even access it. Really upsetting. :(
As a person already paying for a yearly subscription a "free 1 month trial" for everyone for some reason feels even more upsetting...
it would be great if they would atleast adress the issue openly

Last time i checked using "incognito mode" of browser circumvented the problem, its not a permanent solution but it helps bandaiding it.
