The text of the feat says: "You can also cast these spells using spell slots you have of the appropriate level. The spells’ spellcasting ability is the ability increased by this feat."
Does your character have at least one 2nd Level spell slot or higher? If not then you can not cast it with a spell slot.
Yes I have. In this example, the spell has only one charge and after using it, it becomes inactive.
When Beyond was created, that kind of talent didn't exist. The most similar feat was "Magic Initiate" where you had 2 cantrips and a level one spell to use only once per long rest.
With the book "Tasha's Cauldron of Everything" came new talents and some of these talents offer spells that can be cast with spell slots but Beyond has not updated the website's programming code to house these talents.
I believe that the new books after Tasha`s must have some other talent that presents the same problem.
In this link the user is presenting a tutorial teaching how to add talent and consume spell slot. But I don't think it's right to have to create a new subclass from a class that already exists just for the system to allow me to make this talent work the right way.
The video has 452 views I believe these people watched this video to try to solve this problem.
I also found some posts from people wanting to add an item or talent that allows you to cast a spell using a spell slot.
I would be very grateful if Beyond made this small modification on the site.
But if you follow this logic you would not need to have the cast button. Just list all your spells and check manually in the spell slot box.
What I'm asking for is not an essential feature and in practice it won't make a real difference but I feel like it's broken, you know. Almost like a Dead Pixel on the monitor, it doesn't disturb but it bothers.
I thought a lot before buying the books on the Beyond website instead of Fantasy Ground Vtt but this small problem discouraged me, I felt locked up with no way to solve it.
So yes. I do agree this should be a feature D&D Beyond adds. More than likely it will be something they address when D&D Revised / One D&D gets properly released as the whole "can also cast using spell slots" is very much gearing up to be the new standard. We'll be unlikely to see any major updates to how systems work on here until then.
Unfortunately, homebrewing the subclass is the only current workaround. It is not ideal, I know. But hopefully this will be added in not too distant future.

I know some programming and I know that making changes is tricky and can create conflicts with other parts of the code or the database and I don't expect this to be resolved anytime soon.
I thought I would formalize this request here making it as clear as possible.
Thanks for the answers too.

Good afternoon.
I'd like to request a change to the beyond talent system.
The Magic Fey Touched for example grants an extra spell that can be cast using spell slot but the system doesn't allow me to do that.
People who want to do this need to create a new sub class in homebrew just to add some extra magic.
If programming was done adding the option "consume spell slot yes/no" would solve this and several other difficulties.
Many people also want this option on homebrew items.
Thanks.
Fey Touched is not "Magic" it's a Feat.

You can still cast the spells by simple marking off a spell slot instead of clicking on the spell instead.
That's how I first casted all my spells before I learned that you could click on them too.
