I created a simple item, really just trying to modify a mundane item but made it as a magic item. All it needed to be was a warhammer that had the choice of bludgeoning or piercing damage (a warhammer/warpick combo weapon). At first I thought this was impossible to do but then I found the modifier option and figured maybe I could add piercing as a modifier. I added a damage modifier of piercing and another of bludgeoning just to make sure they both were there. So long as either of these were on the weapon I got the below error when the item was clicked in the character's inventory. I removed the modifiers from the weapon and the error went away. Still not sure how to make a weapon with two choices of damage type (I found replace damage type but that doesn't leave the bludgeoning). That aside, the bug is without removing the damage modifiers from the item I was unable to get the item to expand, or even delete it from the character's inventory.

the error-checking for creation of homebrew isn't as robust as we'd like right now. It is intended to perform a major overhaul of the homebrew system during 2019 and make it much easier to use and a lot more robust.
The way weapons are set-up within the system, they (like all attacks) have a specific damage type for the attack. Trying to give the attack multiple damage types seems to have caused the issue.
My suggestion is not to create a homebrew item for this - instead add a custom attack to the character sheet to represent the piercing attack with the weapon.
