Above is my PC and when editing i changed my level from 3 back to 2 as i was trying to get some level 1 homebrew to load but because the subclass is only at lvl 3 they wouldn't activate until then.... anyway, i set to lvl 3 chose the relevant options then set back to lvl 2 this is when it crashed and I could no longer view or edit my PC
Such issues can happen if you add a homebrew subclass to a character and then edit the subclass - the data in the character can cause issues when it is no longer relevant.
Thank you for the fix. Would you be able to tel me what I did to cause it and what not to do to prevent it, I'm guessing it has something to do with lowering the PC level?
So it would seem after editing my homebrew again the same thing has happened, this time I was not changing the level of my pc but changing the availability of spells at my disposal
When editing a subclass, you need to be careful if you're removing anything at any point.
If you have a character with that subclass, who has opted into options or spells that you are now removing, it can cause issues with the character.
It's generally safer to remove the subclass from any character you care about, if you're making such changes. It's sort of like working on the foundations of a house after you built the house on top of it. If you remove supporting walls, some of those rooms might just collapse.
From your post above, I suspect that what has happened is your character is using* (has prepared) one or more spells that you have since removed, or possibly it's more complex if they have some spell slots marked as used and you've changed the core casting ability.
I think that your best bet at this point is to edit your subclass and restore the spells that it had when the character sheet was last working.
* I say using because I can't see what class the character is. If it's a druid/cleric for example it could be that the spells are prepared and now you've removed them.
Thank you for the update, it is a fighter with spellcasting, i do recall changing where the spells were added, I had added them to the spellcasting class feature option but then changed them to the Basic information / specific spells, which seemed like the proper place to have them. Thing is, I already have another PC for a different game using the same homebrew that I didn't have open at the time and that one is not affected, with spells intact also which is strange considering i moved there location in the homebrew. I'm maybe guessing that in conjunction with what you are saying, as well as having the character sheet open at the same time causes the problem. Ill consider moving the spells back and to see if this fixes the problem.

There's definitely something gone wrong there for sure - I tried the direct edit link and can't get it to load from that either.

Your character sheet should be active again.

It was not you. Not directly. But you did help us find a gap in our code that needed to be fixed. Thanks!

Hey
Please see this thread

Same thing has happened again, I have already requested help on said thread but wasn't sure if creating a new thread was the best thing to do
sorry for the bump, kinda a little desperate for some help with having a weekly game as i'm sure most of us would be in this situation lol
