I know that this has been answered, but I hope they do soon allow that to be changed. I was just given a really cool Greatax that can be thrown and comes back to you, (Like the Chance Lance in the Adventure Zone). So itd be nice to be able to change the range value. For my own memory.

Did you put the range in the weapon's description? That should help.

I can't wait for homebrew item creation tools to be improved. I have been having a frustrating time trying to make simple adjustments to properties and damage for common weapons.

If they would just make the whole system modular. Have a field for each possible thing. And another field for the value. Range, reach, damage, hit modifier, stuff that's usually for feats or weapons or subclasses or classes or whatever. All of it available for any type of Homebrew thing. Just have every possible option available, and the number that goes with it.
Because right now, if it doesn't already exist, you can't create it. Think about how little sense that makes for homebrew.
The tools that we have are basically the same as the ones the staff use, just slightly less powerful. As for when we will be able to do all these wonderful things people want, that will hopefully come out as part of the Generic Features System update the dev team are currently working. Please follow the link and vote on the sections, so the staff can see what people actually want.
While that will cover a lot of needed features for the character sheet, I don't think it applies to homebrew tools in any way.

But really they need to add multiple damage types, spell actions, and spell creatures for summoning, creations.
Also there needs to be a drop down (I'm thinking a simple click type expand button) under weapons and spells etc. in the character sheet that shows what each option, damage or both do so its separate.

A custom (type what you want) everywhere. to cover what is not there or not even conceived of yet.
Eldritch invocations, fighting styles, maneuvers on and on.
The ability to make multiple choices from 1 option list ...like choose 1, 2, 3 etc. of 5 skills and list just those 5 skills one time.
We also need options that can actually point to ((existing things)) including themselves like feats can point to other feats, spells to other spells, spells to feats.etc.
The ability to make a spell, feat, action, weapon, or skill, Point to a specific or multiple choice of things like any combo of what i just listed and then a sub choice under each of these things too.
Example I want a feat to choose from 5 spells or 2 weapons or 3 other feats either 1 of the spells and 1 weapon or 1 other feat....or 1 from the entire list of 8 choices I just listed. or to choose more than 1 from each or the entire list.
And if any of these things have choices it can go that extra step too and have the ability to do so.
The program seems to be only partially built and limited in what it can do.
It is almost like someone started making the program got about 65% through and never finished it.
Is there any way to do that? I can't seem to find a way.
No and no. Making homebrew equipment is planned.

Please add the ability to add a custom reach/range and damage die type to a weapon
There are modifiers for changing damage type.
Range is a problem though...
I suspect they meant damage die... if not, they should have... :)

I should have been more clear. Damage type can be changed with the "Replace Damage Type" modifier.
But I do not see a way to change the damage die type/number.
I also just noticed I do not seem to be able to add the "additional" sub modifier to damage.
I CAN clone a weapon and reuse an existing modifier, but not add it to something from scratch. Am I missing something there too?
