I tried testing a roll where I combined the advantage function with the critical function, like so:
1d20.advantage().critical(>=19)
This displayed a result, but curiously, hovering over it didn't display details about the rolls. I also tried reversing the functions, like so:
1d20.critical(>=19).advantage()
but that just seemed to literally crash; no number was displayed, nor was anything displayed that came after it in the post.
Since posting these rolls, I've noticed that I no longer get details on rolls when hovering over ANY new rolls. Not my own. Not those of other posts. Even rolls in threads I've never posted to. And it doesn't matter if I'm logged in or not... still no details. And this is persisting even after removing the above "code" from my test posts. Any rolls made after my experimental post will not display details for me. But rolls made BEFORE then display their details like normal.
(1) Is anyone else finding they don't get details on rolls made after roughly 2 hours before this post?
(2) Can this be fixed even if it's just a problem only I'm having?

Wow you're fast XD. I edited my post to avoid double-posting. I cannot get the hover to work either. Methinks a goblin got into the dice code.

wow Rod, I don't see anything hover-over either. I set up a doc to store info and you break the site testing stuff you wanna put there. That's what I call a software testing win.

Simple roll = 2d8 + 5 = 17 Roll with advantage = 1d20.advantage() = 13 Roll with expanded critical = 1d20.critical(>=19) = 7 Expanded die based on last roll = 12
The dice roller doesn't get installed onto your computer. The code runs on the D&D Beyond servers (except for a little bit of browser-bound Javascript to pull and display the results.)
It only shows up in your forum posts when you explicitly use the "[ roll ]" tag. (Edit: or, if you're talking about the new virtual dice roller, which is really just fancy graphics doing the same thing, it only activates when you turn the feature on in your character sheet and then click to roll on one of your stats.)
If the roller is giving bad results, then it's an issue with the DDB servers; your friend should post about the event. She should give a brief, detailed explanation as far as what happened, and at least one specific example so they can reproduce the bug.
Right. That's not something that gets installed on your system. All it does is change how their servers display your online character sheets, and gives the sheets a new feature. It will only display when your friend looks at her online characters.
If she wants to turn the feature off, she can go to any of her character sheets, and click on the headshot image of the character (upper left corner.) It'll produce a list of several functions starting with "Edit Character," and at the bottom will give the "Dice Rolling" option. Just click that to turn it off. Then, if she wants to report any trouble she was having with it, she can click below it on "Feedback Forum" to post about the incident.

Seems I, too, cannot hover over to see the dice rolls.

If combining those two functions was what did it... I'm rather surprised this hasn't happened before.
I'm hoping it's just coincidental timing though.

Hello RodTheBard!
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. I believe we have squashed the bugs that wormed their way into the dice roller. Can you try editing your post and see if it fixes it? Or just a new post?
Thanks!
Here's a new post, separate checks:
Simple roll = 2d8 + 5 = 17
Roll with advantage = 1d20.advantage() = 13
Roll with expanded critical = 1d20.critical(>=19) = 7
Expanded die based on last roll = 12
Checking....
Looks like it's working again! Thanks!

(I'll try that combination again... after all, advantage with expanded crits isn't too unusual of a combo)
Advantage, crits on 19/20 = 8
Simple roll afterwards = 1d10 + 4 = 7
Still working! Excellent!

Thank you for testing all that!
Happy rolling! :)
A friend loaded this dice roller and she can't uninstall it, which she needs too because it's bugged. How do you do this?
If you're talking about the forum dice roller, it's not something you install or uninstall. It's just part of the forum system, you just don't use it.
