Hello folks, some help please. I have found some other threads first, but I cannot get one of my players to be able to claim an unassigned character in my campaign. On my end, campaign page, as the DM, I see the claim symbol under the unassigned character. My player can see the page, see both assigned and unassigned characters, but the claim flag under the unassigned character is not there. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!
Correct. I have the hero subscription. The player does not have any sort of subscription. No private settings for the unassigned characters. Do all players need to have a D&D Beyond subscription (of what level?) to claim unassigned characters?
No subscription required at all. The issue might be that DDB is starting to roll out their new, upgraded character sheet, but not all at once so they can work out the bugs. All subscribers are on the new sheet, non-subscribers not yet. So it may be an issue of compatibility. It might not though, only an actual Moderator could determine something like that and they’re not in again until tomorrow morning. (Sorry, your stuck with whatever help knowledgeable users can provide until then.)
Another thing it could honestly be, if the player is on PC/Mobile, and you are on the other type of device, it might be not displaying the same across both platforms. Have them check an alternative device.
Also, if they are on a mobile device, tell them to turn their phone to landscape view (sideways). More site interactions become available in landscape than in portrait (vertical) simply because of the available display size.
Does the player have room for more characters? There's a limit of 6 to non-subscribers. If they already have 6 then they won't be able to claim another as it would put them over that limit.

I have a Mac, and he has Windows, so I guess that might be it. But the player is not using a mobile device. But, thank you for your help!!!
Have them try it on their mobile device (phone/tablet, shouldn’t matter). No kidding, I know that has been working for some things when they don’t work on non-mobile devices. It’s worth a shot anyway.
I’m also noticing that sone glitches others have been reporting are not affecting me as much. I do most of my DDBing on either my iPhone or iPad. I don’t know if it’s a mobile interface thing, or a Mac vs non-Mac thing, or a Safari vs other browser thing. 🤷♂️

Have they refreshed the page since the character was unclaimed? If not, their browser page won’t have registered the change.
Is the character set to private?
Is one of you a subscriber and the other not?

I completely forgot about that! Darn I feel dumb.

Only two, so that is not the issue. Thank you, though!

Cheers. I will ask my buddy to try all device options and see if there is any success on his end!
