I was trying to find solutions to this. I'm not quite sure how everything works, but I made the feature a granted feature rather than an additional feature and it showed up in the character builder. Maybe additional features only show up in the additional features and traits tab on the character sheet?

As a general rule, use Granted for features. I don't remember off the top of my head what Additional is for, but I think it's for saying it's like an Optional Class Feature, or for Customize Your Origin, or complicated stuff like that.

Naruhoodie speaks sooth, Additional and Replacement features (and traits) are for creating Optional Class Features (or Origin Customizations) like those found in Tasha’s Cauldron. You pretty much always want to make them as Granted features (or traits).
Yeah it shows up in my homebrew, i also tried bringing my character's level down to 1, switching classes. all that jazz

I'm having an issue now. I created https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/8541494-chardalyn-crystal-nugget and I can add it to other characters in my campaign, just not one https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/122384281.
Please see the General Homebrew FAQ, question #5 for solutions: (https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/dungeons-dragons-discussion/homebrew-house-rules/131411-a-homebrewers-how-to-faq#GeneralHomebrewFAQ&BasicTroubleshooting).
