In Storm King’s Thunder, the player’s map of The Eye of the All-Father has the traps clearly indicated i believe this to be a mistake so I am reporting it as a bug
Thanks for the heads up and apologies for missing this previously.
We'll take a look at the files for this map. I'm on vacation currently, so will ask a colleague to take a look, but it'll be dependent upon whether it's possible in the source files.
We produce a "player version" within the parameters that we're allowed.
Where the map is provided in a format where we can remove location names, traps, secret doors etc by hiding an image layer, then we do that.
What we can't do however, is edit the map in something like photoshop to manually paint over map features, such as secret doors and traps.
Update, I just checked the source image files and unfortunately those traps are provided on the same layer as the main map art, so we're not able to modify this map to remove those traps! Sorry!
We provide the images, as per the maps in the printed book. That's a core feature of all adventures.
We also, as a service to users, provide a player version, as described above - this isn't a guaranteed thing and it's subject to how the files have the information provided.
With this map, it's not a case of us asking for additional files from Wizards of the Coast - the traps are part of the painted map image.
Where you see a player map, with secret doors or traps on it, it's possible we made a mistake, but it's more likely that these features are just an integral part of the map image.
I understand this is disappointing, if you want to be able to provide these maps to your players, or use them on a virtual tabletop.
Hi, I have no idea whether it's something you would be able to use but the original artist for this map has actually produced a corrected version that he sells on his store https://www.leemoyer.ninja/store under "Eye of the All-Father Player Map". It looks like it was produced a few years ago after some other players noticed (as per this reddit thread).

Is that the end of it right there? Or will someone be tagged to reach out to your WotC contacts to have them provide a fix?

I see. Thanks so much for the explanation. :D
