Not sure if I'm missing something, but is there a way to choose your MToF Eladrin's season? There's all that text written up, but I can't get it to show up on the character sheet.
To my knowledge, it doesn't show up on the DND beyond digital character sheet. You can just keep the Eladrin page up on a different tab or something if you need the info
The different Eladrin seasons don’t actually “do” anything mechanically that is in anyway applicable on this website. They have different in-game effects, but when you tick the box for their Fey Step trait, the only thing that actually happens from a 1s & 0s standpoint is the box turns red to indicate that the trait was used. That’s it. Nothing actually “happens” other than that.
As I understand it, you are simply asking for a way to track which season you currently have active. Is that correct? If so, that’s actually fairly easy to do in the creation tool (aka homebrewer), so if you don’t care so much about the (very busy) DDB Devs dealing with the “official” version, and just want it to work for you, here’s how to make your own copy that has the functionality you’re asking for:
2) Select “subrace” and choose Elf as the race option and select Eladrin as the template to use and tap/click that create button. (Be sure to select Eladrin and not Eladrin (Variant)!)
3) Expand the Racial Traits section at the bottom and there should be two, the ASI, and the Fey Step Trait. Tap/Click “edit” for Fey Step.
4) Here you will see the snippet field displaying the abridged version of the feature and the description field displaying the full description. Drag highlight the topmost seasonal entry here which should be Autumn. Once selected, “cut” that text and then expand the “options” section for that year and click/tap the [ADD AN OPTION] button and you will now be redirected to that form. Enter the following:
Name: Autumn
Snippet: Paste the text you had cut from the description for Fey Step. Drag highlight this text that you just placed and “copy” it so you can paste it again in the description field. (When you cut the original text it may have picked up some extraneous formatting. As soon as it was pasted in the snippet field, that field removed all of that potential formatting. By copying it from the snippet field you can be sure to have grabbed a clean set of that text to paste into the description field.)
Required Character Level: 3
[SAVE]
5) At this point, new sections of the form will be visible. Expand the Actions section and click/tap [ADD AN ACTION]. You will immediately be redirected to the Action form.
6) Select “Spell” as the Action Type. At this point, new sections of the Action form will immediately become visible. Enter the following:
Name: Autumn Step
Ability Score Type: Cha
Is Proficient: ☑️
Save Type: Wis
Effect on Failed Save: “Charmed for 1 minute, or until damaged.”
Spell Range Type: Ranged
Range: 10
Activation Type: Special
Snippet: (Paste the text copied from the previous snippet field.)
[SAVE]
7) At this point you will be immediately redirected back to the form for the Autumn Option. [SAVE]
8) From here you will have to navigate to the appropriate page again. Whatever you do, DO NOT use your browser’s backpage button for this, it has cost me work in the past. (This part can be a pain in the @$$ if you are using a mobile device, it is easier if you turn it sideways and zoom out to 75% so it can display everything for you, and then zoom back in again to continue working.) At the top of the page you should see a series of links displaying the following:
B > Homebrew > Race > Copy_of_Eladrin > Edit (Spells, Feats, and Magic Items all have more links listed in their chains, so do subclasses, although theirs also have some gaps. If this chain for Races displayed more links then the next part would be simpler, faster, and easier. 🤷♂️)
Click/Tap “Copy_of_Eladrin,” and then you will have to click/tap Edit, expand the racial traits again and click/tap Edit for the Fey Step trait again.
9) Repeat steps 4-8, only using the text for Winter (instead of Autumn). For step 6, enter the following:
Name: Winter Step
Ability Score Type: Cha
Is Proficient: ☑️
Save Type: Wis
Effect on Failed Save: “Frightened for 1 minute.”
Spell Range Type:
Range: 5
Activation Type: Special
Snippet: (Paste the text copied from the previous snippet field.)
[SAVE]
10) Repeat steps 4-8, only using the text for Spring (instead of Autumn). For step 6, enter the following:
Name: Spring Step
Spell Range Type: Touch
Activation Type: Special
Snippet: (Paste the text copied from the previous snippet field.)
[SAVE]
11) Repeat steps 4-8, only using the text for Summer (instead of Autumn). For step 6, enter the following:
Name: Summer Step
Spell Range Type: Ranged
Activation Type: 5
Snippet: (Paste the text copied from the previous snippet field.)
[SAVE]
(it may not actually be possible to display the Cha mod as damage without including a valid die roll. I’m honestly not sure if any workaround for it even exists.)
12) You should now have added all 4 options to the Fey Step trait and be back at the form for that trait:
Drag highlight all four of the season in the description for the trait and delete them. (If you don’t then they will display twice, once from this description and again from each of the options. Since this trait will display all of those options in sequence, it no longer needs to include the information itself.)
Character Levels Where Options Known: 3
[SAVE]
13) Using the (hopefully now familiar) link chain, navigate back to the Basic Information section for this subrace. Enter the following:
Nam: Eladrin (FIFY) (You can name it something different, I just like to be snarky. 😉)
Race Group: Elf
[SAVE CHANGES]
And that should be all there is to it. You may need to tweak or adjust something here or there, but whatever it is should be minor. If you do make any adjustments, you MUST re-save the entire Homebrew using the main [SAVE CHANGES] button under Basic for the system to pick up those changes for you.
I hope that helps.
PS- In case you’re wondering why the Devs didn’t do that for the official version when it’s that easy to do, the answer is likely because the seasonal rider effects to Fey Step are not actually “Actions.” There is no “Autumn Step” for example, it’s all just “Fey Step.” Names are require in the creation tool however, so we just have to use “create license” to quite literally “fill in the blanks.” Unfortunately, DDB’s contract with WotC precludes such creative license.
I know I'm late to the party, but I wanted to say that this is really helpful.
It would be nice if the Eladrin's season could be changed in the "Description" section since an Eladrin's personality traits change depending on what season they're in.

Eladrin are able to change their seasons after any long rest so maybe D&D Beyond hasn't set that up. I just let my DM know what season I am in.

How do you create and eldrain elf by using a eldrain (variant) template on dnd homebrew?
The “Variant” is from the DMG, and doesn’t come with seasons. You would essentially have to recreate the four seasons from scratch.
