D&D Beyond app crash after downloading Dragon of Icepsire Peak DLC pack extended content
app version 1.1.16
Android version 9 running on Samsung Tab A (2017)
I've run 4 or 5 tests in an attempt to download the content. Note: I was not aware that the dndbeyond.com servers were having difficulty until I tried to access the content using my pc and found the site was returning 500 and 504 errors (Jan. 5th 2020).
1st attempt: After having purchased the Essentials Kit (physical product) I used the enclosed key to redeem the digital version of Dragon of Icespire Peak . I did not use the QR codes. I redeemed the key using the dndbyond.com website from a pc and then proceeded to download the content using the app loaded onto my SamsungTab A. I was able to download Dragon of Icespire Peak successfully (I did not open to view the content), and then proceeded to download Divine Contention as part of the extended content available as part of the D&D Beyond promotion. The download would start and the app would crash during the final phases of installation. From that point forward the app would crash while trying to synchronize product licenses rendering it useless. I was forced to uninstall and then re-install the app and all purchased content.
Notes: On subsequent attempts I found that just trying to download the extended content (Divine Contention, Storm Lord's Wrath, and Sleeping Dragon's Wake) was enough to trigger the crash. On my last attempt I downloaded Dragon of Icespire Peak successfully and then tried the extended content again. This time the none of the content would download at all and I have given up assuming the servers are timing out to the download request.
Ever since the Eberron: Rising from the Last War book came out, my Wafinder's Guide to Eberron Content on the mobile app has been borked.
I've reinstalled the app, deleted content, redownloaded, refreshed the manifest, everything I can think of. I don't own Eberron: Rising from the Last War but I do own Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron.
Clicking on Artificer in the app gives me the error: Failed to load. The error has been logged. You may need to update.
Click on a race from Eberron (example, Warforged) gives me the error: Failed to load Warforged. The error has been logged. You may need to update Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron.
Like I said, I've deleted, re-installed, refreshed, logged out, logged in, everything I can think of.
I'm on Samsung Galaxy S9+
Quoting my post, this got resolved today!
I opened the mobile app, went to check the artificer and had an alert that Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron content had an update. I downloaded and now have the most up to date Eberron content (like Warforged) that was in WGE.
Every time I try and load monsters thru my app it crashes. Which is a huge bummer for me, because I have to whip out the book every time I am trying to create an encounter for my party. Is there anything that can be done about this?

Hello, I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're facing with crashes on the mobile app. What device and OS version are you currently using?
A continued problem with the app that I have reported on before: the search filters (especially for spells) are very broken and often do not function. Can we get an update on fixing them?

Could you elaborate a bit more on the issues you're facing, Revenant? Additionally, what device and device version are you using?

I am using Apple products (iPhones and iPads), but have seen issues on multiple other mobile products from other players. So this is universal to the app.
The content filters for spells (and maybe other sections) are broken. Using the combination of the Class filter with filter by Name in Spells remains broken. For example, using the Wizard filter and typing in “Magic” turns up no results, when there should be several, such as “Detect Magic” and “Magic Missile.”
In recent app updates, I am seeing that even attempting to apply a filter in the spells section breaks the search: nothing displays.
A consistent issue I have with the app is that it reloads to the compendium page whenever switch between other apps.
For instance, I am reading through Ghosts of Saltmarsh and will switch to chrome to look up something. When I switch back to the app, the loading screen appears and synchronizes the content, then lands on the compendium page.
When I go back to GoS, it will resume where I left off. It is just a bit annoying that I have to scroll through the sources to get back to what I was reading.
Other than that one issue, everything else seems to be working great.
Filters for Spells, Equipment, Classes, Races are not immediately applied after selecting the filter and tapping "Apply". I must first tap away from the list to another list and then come back. After coming back, the filter is applied. For example, I filter "Spells" by school. After applying that filter there is no change to the spell list. I tap "Equipment". I then tap "Spells" again. The filter is now applied.
This is not a bug with the mobile app - but a bug in code.
As a half elf, i am granted 60' darkvision, and if i put the belt of dwarven kind on i am also granted darkvision of 60'. On my character sheet, when i set up my character this way i am being told my darkvision is 120'.

This is obviously a failed logic test somewhere.
If it's unrelated to the mobile app, you should probably post in a different/separate thread... But yeah, I believe this is a known issue. See the following threads:
I’m unable to log in to the app via my google account. When I click the button that reads “Sign in with Google”, the modal pops up and I’m able to select my google account. After a short delay, the modal is dismissed and an alert pops up that reads “Login error”

Having an issue with getting the alpha test app from the Google Play store link via the email I received. It says " App not available A testing version of this app hasn't been published yet or isn't available for this account. If you've been invited to become a tester, make sure you're signed in to the account that was invited to the testing program. If you've been invited to a Google Group or Google+ Community as part of the program, make sure you've joined the Group or Community."
Is something wrong? I've verified my google account is the correct one that the email went to as well.

It is my Ipad that is having the continued issues on the app.
Is your device version up to date? If not, what version are you running?

Thank you, Revenant! Those extra details are helpful, I'll pass this information along.

This is only if you search the app listing, not the direct book source (player's handbook).
