BadEye Update 12/15:
Hello again everyone!
I thought I'd pop in on day two of the alpha and share an update on where we are and how we're interpreting the testing input so far.
First, we are extremely happy with the response and engagement - the percentage of installs versus emails sent is incredibly high. This will help us make a great app as we work through the testing phases.
Second, we are also extremely happy with the relatively low severity (and occurrence) of bugs so far with thousands of testers. Outside some permissions adjustments yesterday, there have been no major app-breaking things that have happened, and our server infrastructure is airtight. These were our primary metrics this early in alpha, to make sure we're in a good place to build out from and polish.
Third, we are glad to see the type of feedback we are receiving. It is granular and specific, what we call "next level" stuff. In other words, we would be concerned if we received a large amount of feedback that said "we hate the direction this is going." We are glad to see feedback like "I wish bookmarks did this" and "search isn't as responsive as I'd like." In the case of those two elements, they are more or less stubs that we have included at this point to make sure people realize that functionality will exist - this isn't their final form by any means. Even other things like UI polish to have onboarding/ tutorial messaging for first-time installs and displaying download sizes more clearly - these are absolutely going to be covered and it's good to see those things instead of a negative response to the fundamentals.
Also, to help manage some expectations, updates for a mobile app work differently than updates for a website. On the site, we can (and do) fix, edit, and deploy things extremely quickly. I think many of you have experienced this many times over in our first few months. For mobile and especially with offline capability, we need to package updates, and so they will be slower.
On top of this, we are running up against a well-deserved holiday break for the team. We wanted to get this alpha started before the end of the year so folks could use the app through the holidays and we could gather a large amount of data and feedback in its current form. The more you use it and try it out, the better for us.
In other words, you won't see any major feature changes or additions until the new year. If something breaks that prevents app use, we'll definitely address those. Just wanted to be completely transparent with that!
Thanks one more time for your participation and help in making this something special. Happy holidays!
Looks like Xanathar's Guide and the Tortle package appear as "Marketplace Items" for me, even though I have purchased them. Additionally, if I go to "My Account" > "My Content" I have the option to download them, but the downloads do not begin after I initiate them.
This is on the iOS version of the app.
Seeing the same.

Same for me, plus with Tomb of Annihilation.
One small piece of feedback that relates to the app but also the site. Why are the various prefaces and introductions not included in the tables of contents? It’s odd that they get a special button instead of a regular reference and link.
I realize it literally just launched moments ago. Everything with TestFlight and the install worked great. Once logged into the DDB app with twitch account, I see most of my compendium content. XGTE is owned by me, but not in my list. It is at the bottom under Marketplace.

I am also getting the error where my purchases are showing up in marketplace. (Xanthar's, Tomb of Anhilation and Tortle) under My Account > My content it shows up but if I try to download nothing happens.
After a few refreshes, I was able to get the app installed. All my content appears correctly except for Xanathar's and the Tortle package. Clicking either tells me to go the website and purchase them. They do get listed as "My Content" under the "Account" menu, but they do not download.

This is on the iOS version of the app.
Edit: Same issue with Tomb of Annihilation.
I have the exact same issue with these 3 titles on both iOS and Android.
Also having the XGtE, Tortle, and ToA unavailability issue.
I was also able to crash the app when I went to "My Content" and quickly went down the list downloading all my content. If you go quick enough, and there's a little lag in the popups, you can get a couple to overlay on top of each other, that's when the app just closed.
Is there a "download all" option anywhere? That would be a nice option.
Same issues with Xanathar’s Guide, Tortles, and Tomb.
I like what I’ve tested out so far on my 12” iPad Pro and iPhone X. Look and responsiveness are good except one instance of slow loading of the app.
Major bug I’ve experienced is the very inconsistent manifestation of the back button on both devices. Without it I can’t get to the table of contents.
Feature Request: A way to navigate each book in a less linear fashion would be great. UI elements to pull up the ToC anywhere in the book.

Under Adventures, I'm not able to access Tomb of Annihilation and Tales from the Yawing Portal is broken up into its separate adventures.

I know it launched moments ago but the link that is in the android play store does not find anything in the play store currently. And when I do a search for D&D Beyond in the play store it does not show up. I get a this message "We're sorry, the requested URL was not found on this server."
I am also having an issue with not being able to access my content. I am logged in but I can only download the basic rules (which took me two attempts. Apparently you can't lock your phone while it's going). The other content I can't touch (even though I own all the rules sets).

A dwarf with a canoe on his back? What could go wrong?
I also show items in the marketplace that I have already purchased. This is on the Android app.
Also, search doesn't have a wat to enter once you type in a subject.
Same thing as reported above for me. I can access all content but XGtE, Tortle Package and ToA, although I did purchase them.

I can only access the free content when I have bought all the books in the rules section except The Tortle Package

Bug: third party keyboards in Android (SwiftKey in particular) freeze on search input toast. Gboard is fine.
EDIT: this issue sporadically freezes the entire app requiring force quit. Repro maybe 50%

So yeah my content won't download and there is no reason for it it just wont do it.
Crash on launch. Did not prompt for permissions of local storage. When I granted access to local storage crash on launch continued.
Clearing "data" in app info did not resolve issue. As a side note, it's running fine on my phone so far.

Android - Xanathars and the tortle package stuck in marketplace despite having been purchased? Pixel 2 XL, Android 8.1.0

I'm on Android 8.1, successfully installed the app, but none of my purchases are available. Currently can only access the Basic Rules.
