When editing notes in a campaign, the dice roller icon is visible in the tools, and it does insert the correct syntax, but it does not actually function; when I save the note, I don't see a roll result, only the syntax for the roller. I'd really like the option to use the dice roller in the notes box; it would make it easier me prep things like numbers of monsters (when the adventure specifies, for example, 2d6 orcs), and monsters initiative rolls.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Agreed - what is the purpose of the dice roller icon - even in these topic forums - it simply generates the following for a simple d20 roll.... 12
ok - so that's interesting - when I saved it in this topic post it generated the number 16 upon save - in my dm notes for my campaign it shows the syntax and not the result?
more testing - I have two campaigns, I went back and in both campaigns I tried adding the simple 1d20 from the dice roller in both the private and the public dm notes - in neither campaign nor private/public did it randomly generate a number as it did in this post.
more testing fun - within this post... Attack: Attack: 4 Damage: 11
Attack: 18 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.

For damage I've tried 1d8, d8, and 8 - something not right - the 1d8 and d8 give me an error message - the 8 simply uses 8 without random generation.
