I think with how large and complex classes are that, while I want it to happen, I'd want some limitations added in. First I'd want them to better the homebrew system they have now, and include a review system. Then I would want access to doing something like homebrew classes something you could unlock if you had X number of X%/X star/X thumb reviewed homebrew items/spells/feats/backgrounds/races/subclasses.
But yeah, I'd love to see homebrew classes in some form in the future, once the rest of the homebrew system is smoothed out.
If you release a beta version without any use with publishing or the character builder just so people could use it because most people don't even add that information in and just want a way to organize their class features.

I'll make a Sin Archbishop homebrew class. Subclass for each sin and all the powers will come from an invocation type ability. I'm basing it off the witch and gadgeteer homebrew classes.

Honestly I'm just glad that homebrew classes are on the cards; it does sound like a coding nightmare to try and build an editor that can keep up with all the random ideas players might throw at it.
If you can't wait like me, you can use DM binder but its a little tricky. I'm making a fairy tale style class called the wanderer just for the heck of it.

That class has lots of incorrect lore and the marquise of hell seems OP. If you do make a D&D beyond version, maybe fix that.
incorrect lore ? you mean matt colvills own homebrew world is incorrect becauseit doesn't use the same stuff d&d uses ? seriously, you even considered telling people that ? matt colville made avideo explaining all that, its not using any lore you know...its using "HIS LORE" unless you know "HIS WORLD" then the lore int he book is correct !
also, marquise of hell isn't OP. have you even looked at the archdevils charisma bonuses? they literally have +20 to all their roles. how in the hell can you even beat that in a duel of charisma ? also, you literally need to be in hell to get that archdevil to be yours, at that point... that archdevil will have you kneel down much beforeit as you will needto do a ton of saves before you can act it. you know legendary actions and all.
my only problem with all of that, is that it doens't have any time limits and that is the problem i have.

Nat one trumps all. Also, I wasn't aware of the lore of his world. Most of the lore is very similar to the forgotten realms and most homebrew classes have some connection to that sphere.

By the way, if you look under the quoted comment, you will see I was informed about the new version of the class. I knew nothing about the world of the class or who made it then.

nat 1 aren't a thing in skill checks, they are a thing only on attack rolls. unless your dm homebrewtheir own ruling on it. which means that even on a nat 1, you are looking at archdevils who have +15 or more on their end. that means basically you have to beat a 16 at minimum. I do believe its abusive the fact that they can do that at such a low level without any drawbacks at all... even more tot he fact that at higher levels they can just do the same thing to bigger devils...
as for lore and you not knowing... fair enough.

I was sure that the rule was for attack rolls and saving throws but I looked and you're right. One thing I want to mention though, they aren't skill checks. Skill checks are actively working at something whereas saving throws are defending against something.
Hope this helps; have a nice day! ;)

Sorry if that was confusing, skill checks are just an unofficial name for an ability check which involves a skill, such as Intelligence (history) or Dexterity (slight of hand). Its just a quick way of saying it and may have originated in a former edition of the game.
Hope this helps; have a nice day ;)

In the interest of being both pedantic and complete;
There is no such thing as Skill Checks in 5e, those are called Ability Checks. And rolling 1s and 20s have no effect on those.
Also, rolling 1s or 20s do affect Death Saves as well. That may be where you're getting the idea they affect Saves.
considering most of the checks we make, at the exception of initiatives, are basically 95% of the time from skills, can't fault people for calling them skill checks. also, in other editions, they were skill checks... so yeah, terms tends to follow.

Rather than make all new classes I’d like to apply subclasses to other classes. Wizard alchemist. Also I’m still waiting on a feat to add one or two infusions.

I would like this feature

Let me use DnDBeyond to build MCDM's Illrigger, please.

marquise of hell can cause an Archdevil to kneel at your feet and is an at will ability.

Limitations seem like they would cause problems for classes that work differently from a normal class and might ruin things like that.

MCDM released their fully realized Illrigger class yesterday. It's completely different.

I'd rather the ability to share it be something you unlock, but everyone would have access to making a homebrew class for their own account.
