Simple Question: I build Homebrew stuffs. I was posting them to the DMsGuild for purchase at like a Dollar, BUT I'd like to know if there are plans to integrate the content from PAID modules into DDB.
e.g. Player asks 'hey, i like this race this creator came up with.' CLICK TO PURCHASE-->come to DDB, Player wonders 'is there a button or a section for IMPORTING directly from DMsGuild or do i have to type in it by hand?'
I am LOVING ddb so far, my group recorded our first session using it almost exclusively, and i know phase 3 is NOT close but i'm curious so i know how to plan my homebrew release files.
Phase 3 isn't THAT far away - the aim is for product release in Summer this year. :)
As for being able to import paid content - I don't know.
It's been confirmed that there WILL be homebrew integration in phase 3 and there have been a lot of ideas thrown around.
One of my favourite was a suggestion that there should be something akin to the Steam Workshop, but for Homebrew content - DM's could add each homebrew they wanted to their campaign and any players in that campaign access it.
It would be interesting to see how this pans out because of paid stuff you can get for homebrew, plus working on your own and then of course, if something really comes out well we do want to share it. Some people like to put them up on dmguild for cheap to make a little money and in turn be able to make more things and buy other things for their games. I'm definitely interested in seeing how sharing of homebrew is really going to work here.

Hey, on the reals...take your time. I'll just keep with the DMsGuild thing till some'em here develops.
But the Steam Workshop model does sound cool and could be fairly painless to code :shrug: depending on how heavy the giantass database Curse is already dealing with.

It will be interesting how big the database will be since it won't be just SRD in the live version for sure. That's a LOT of stuff.
