Tonight Critical Role started using the official twitch integration, and I had a couple bits of feedback to give on it.
The styling used for the player panel is really off. Since it is flex a lot of the styling isn't even used inside of `.party-panel__content-wrapper`, the only ones you really need are the uncommented ones.
I'm currently watching a livestream (critical role) in my browser that is supposed to have the overlay active. Other viewers have it working, but for some reason it isn't working for me even if i mouse over the entire video screen. Do you know if there are other permissions I need to give the overlay? I've tried logging out of twitch, restarting the browser, and restarting my computer as a whole.
Nevermind, apparently the problem is with the chrome web browser, as watching on safari works fine.
I put this on the comments on the changelog, but I figured this would be a better place to put it.
As a viewer of a stream that the extension is installed on, the button doesn't appear when I hover over the stream. I don't know if this is a bug or if it's on my side but it's worth looking into. It seems to only be an issue when I use Google Chrome, but it works on Safari.
The Twitch overlay doesn't work for me on Firefox, but does on Safari. When I roll over the DDB button below the stream window on Firefox, the outline wraps around the window as expected, but the overlay simply won't slide in.
I too was using Chrome to watch the CR stream. And all I could see was the button and the outline. It's good to see that others had issues with this, because I was starting to think it had something to do with locale, as I'm watching from Europe.
I wonder though, is this a DNDB issue, or a twitch issue?
I was using it on firefox and I could get the sidebar with the character HPs and get the popup stat blocks. But there were apparently easter eggs in the extension that I couldn't access. So clearly something in my firefox settings is blocking elements of the extension.
I wonder if cosplaywrite could be on to something. If Firefox is partially working but not fully due to some potential setting. Could privacy settings and/or blockers of some kind be the culprit? I will check it out during the next CR stream (on friday morning at 4 pm) and see if there's any difference.

I wonder if it's the adblocker I have installed. I'll have to wait until Thursday's CR to check it since that's the next stream I'll be able to watch live.
Hi, im just posting since it seems that my viewed streams supported by this extension dont show me the interactive sidebar an it says that itts visible

I'm also on Firefox, and was unable to see the overlay until I disabled my adblocker. I tried whitelisting the URLs I could find using dev tools, but still no luck seeing the overlay with it enabled.
I disabled the adblocker but I'm not seeing anything more than the sidebar with their HP that you can click on to view a snippet of the character sheet. Not sure if there's more to the extension or not.
Yeah. It's Chrome. Watching the stream right now and have both Chrome and Firefox open at the same time. Adblockers are disabled in both browsers. The extension is visible and shows information only in Firefox. Something with Chrome makes the extension not work.
I'd love this overlay just on DnD Beyond pages for now as DM. It feels dumb to have to stream to the web while sitting at a table with people but it's a great dashboard to track the party
I second this like crazy. I've seen quite a few requests for a DM screen that would basically be exactly this, except a webpage; all we want is a way to click, see a character's info, and go back to running the game. Having to watch your own stream to use this functionality can lead to bandwidth issues when you're running the stream on the same connection, especially for non-partners who often can only watch their stream in full resolution with no lower encoding options to save bandwidth. How hard would it be (and I'm not being snide here, I'm seriously asking) to implement this overlay, almost exactly as it is, as a DM screen page (except maybe oriented so the list goes horizontally at the top of the page instead of vertically at the side)? Because honestly, that would be perfect. Looking at earlier posts, I'm seeing that the overlay is being formatted by CSS; I'm not an expert and I could be very wrong, but that seems to imply that the overlay is HTML-driven and perhaps could be accessed directly outside of a Twitch stream with a valid authentication, unless there's something locking it to use as an overlay. Still, even if it's not this simple, it does seem like the groundwork is already laid for a very useful DM screen.
I love this app and I can't wait to use it for my streams! My players and I think it will be a cool way to others our sheets and information! It would be cool if there was a way to get fan art or suggestions through this as well!
Really good for streaming. I don't stream but I do use it for DMing so I stream and view my own stream channel. Would be so much better if I had a online DM page which is similar to this (summaries of all characters in a campaign) without having to stream.....I know..I know, it's on the road-map......😜
I cannot select the game I am streaming from the Twitch extension. I have 3 games and only one is available when I go to the select campaign part of the overlay. Is there something I need to activate or deactivate to make this work?
Hey Hey ummm So I got a really weird issue with the extension
I have it set to visible and set to overlay 1 but as I watch Critical Role not only does it show no stats but the configuration window won't load and the only thing I can "interact" with is just a floating "B" of the DnD beyond logo that appears when I click it which then makes other smaller "B"s float about it that blink.
Ummmm any answers guys? This is driving me kinda nutty.

Instead of everything else, you should use justify-content which then makes it properly center vertically.
With these changes it now looks like this:

Hey Evil,
Where is this road map?! I can't seem to find it!
Thanks!

I don’t quite know how to explain this one but here https://twitter.com/autisticcosplay/status/1106376623836852227?s=21
