Right now, the way content management across sources goes, DMs are kind of out of the picture. We can go in and take out stuff that shouldn't be there, but players are responsible for avoiding content not featured in a campaign by using their menu options in a character builder. It would be nice to be able to turn off sources (or even specific pieces of content like a single race or a few backgrounds from one source) on the DM's side of things so that they aren't there to confuse my new players at all. Right now if someone wants to set up a backup character I have to be part of the process because there's a ton of stuff I'm having to micromanage. The new options to tick off eberron and ravnica are a huge step in the right direction, but there are *parts* of each of those sources that I'm okay with and I know the other two DMs for the campaigns I'm part of feel the same way.
Content sharing is a wonderful feature but it would be nice to have the option to remove specific content (as if you were removing items from a character's inventory) based on the campaign you're sharing with. Some of the campaigns I'm in are way more open about race choice than others. Also my homebrew gets shared with all three of the campaigns I'm in even though I'm only the DM in one of those campaigns so people are seeing things in lists that they probably shouldn't see as some of my homebrew is world-specific.
It is planned for DMs to be able to turn off sharing of specific sources. im not sure if they will be able to nitpick to the level you are describing, but at least some of this IS being worked on.
Adam said on yesterday’s development update that at first content management restrictions would be on the source/book level, but that they do plan to expand to more granular sharing eventually.
Definitely want to have more editing capabilities, that's number one for DMs who really take the time to customize a campaign. The customization editing has gone a long way to allow me to enter changes for characters in my campaigns. Just more of it. I foresee the day when Beyond might be the ultimate campaign resource for the zillion homebrews out there that need to customize. The sooner the better, preferably before I'm dead and in heaven rooting for y'all... lol.
