So if I swing a sword item that has a little A on it I can always have advantage while swinging?

The sword with a little A probably requires attunement.

Good point. Is it a green A or a black A?
2d20kh1 is dice speak for advantage. It says to roll 2 20-sided dice (aka d20) and "keep highest one" (kh1).Similarly, if you roll for attributes, you could say 4d6kh3 (roll 4 dice and keep highest 3).
