I noticed the genie warlock's vessel isn't an object or item in the data bases. Maybe I'm the only one thinking so, but because of its possible uses it could work as storrage with no weight (or allmost no weight depending on the vessel). Just like a Bag of holding. :) Would be nice, if it was something like that. ^^
Don’t know if this is the correct place for this but could we get a tab or something that when there are updates to the books they are all in one spot and where you have a download all option instead of needing to check every book to see if there’s a download
basic idea iPhone you have app updates there’s a spot that will show you what apps need updated and can update them all with 1 button or you can pick and choose

User 2 and User 3 are in a campaign with User 1. Maybe one of them is the DM, or maybe they're all players. But because they are connected to a shared campaign, they can see each others' wishlists.
User 2 sees a book on User 1's wishlist and buys it for them. During checkout, they opt to schedule delivery instead of delivering right away. There's a maximum delay of 1 month from [date of purchase] or [date of release for pre-orders], whichever one is later.
User 2 and User 3 look at User 1's wishlist later and neither sees the book. This prevents double-purchases/gifting. Some banners at the top have some Mordenkainen and Tasha banter about not spoiling surprises if an item has disappeared from a wishlist.
User 1 looks at their wishlist and sees no change. They can still add or remove the item from their wishlist. If they remove and re-add the book, their campaign mates will still have the same viewing experience as the previous step.
User 2 had to leave the campaign due to life changes bringing persistent scheduling conflicts and decides to deliver the book early instead of waiting to surprise User 1 after the next session. User 2 goes into their order history and either a) edits the delivery date or b) clicks "deliver now." There is no option to cancel after purchase; the only option is to adjust the delivery date, and the new date must still be within 1 month of the original purchase/release date.
At no point can users see what other users own, only what's on their wishlist. If content toggles become a thing later, this will alleviate any "I don't want them knowing what I own" collisions between the matters.
Then DDB has a gifting sale scheduled 1-2 weeks after the feature's released. By then, frequent users will have updated their wishlists and people can start buying stuff they didn't know other people wanted. Because it feels good to give, and doubly so during sales.
I want PCs to be able to give items to other characters in the same campaign, and take items from a campaign-specific general party inventory.
Use Cases
As the DM, every time the PCs find an item in the game, I want to be able to drop a copy of that specific item into the "party inventory" and then allow the PCs to take it into their character's inventory. That way I know they're getting the exact right version to add to their character sheet, and there's no concern about two people adding an item to their character because they misunderstood who was supposed to get it.
Current Alternatives
The DM edits the PCs character to add items to their inventory.
The problem here is that then the DM is the bottleneck for managing this stuff, and PCs can't just handle it themselves.
The DM just says / writes down what the PCs find and they're responsible for adding it to their character sheet
This is error prone, as lots of items have different versions with the same name, and there's no way to ensure only one person gets a copy of an item.

it has been overly asked for, it is on the roadmap. they actually made that containeer update just for that. so yes, party inventory is coming, we don't know why but the importance of conatainers and gamelogs was important before they could do it. but yes, it is coming already !
but about saying... its error prone... everything is error prone, this is not a video game where everything should go as the parameter given to the computer is. this is d&d played by humans, you will always have errors... including players who will not delete the item, copy it, modify it. you cannot stop errors from humans. they are humans.
and honestly... if the DM doesn't keep the hoard written down somwhere... i believe the error didn't come from the players, but from the DM. i honestly think the best way to stop werror is to have numerous records, not just one !

if you make a steel pipe with one end closed and a nozzle on the other, you can enlarge it, fill with any liquid, and then drop concentration, creating a high pressure squirt gun. (or a pipe bomb, depending if it holds)
It would be helpful if there was a form for making mounts and/or sidekicks. I'm trying to make a Mastiff sidekick for my kobald cavalier to ride. All I cn do is add all of it to the "notes" which is a bit of a pain in the butt. To make a separate character for him is quite wonky. Race? It would be easier to have a tab on the character sheet for a mount. Is that in the works?
Being able to put notes on owned content would be great.
Make: Highlight > pop-out sticky note style > save button
Review/Remove: Click highlighted section > pop-out sticky note > remove/delete button and save changes button
Then put a section under the Collections drop down for “My Notes” which is a complete separate section for notes with a subsection for collecting all highlighted notes in owned content. As for the separate notes, just making them an editable text box like these on the forums would be great, but adding the ability to hyperlink to sections of owned content with a small pop up like how Conditions are linked throughout the site would be amazing.
DM should be able to either unassign a character or have a button that lets them create a clone. I am running a large group and if a player can't make it because of life and they are not able to unassign the character I have to run the sheet online, rolling dice etc. If I could quickly take a character off that player it would allow another player to take it over and jaeger it for the session as opposed to a player controlling the character and me having to do the sheet stuff for them while also running npc's monsters and everything else.
The ability at the very least to assign owned dice to a specific character sheet in that specific ones sheet appearance settings would be cool and an easy level of extra customization.
I would love to, as a DM, set which sources the characters in my campaign are allowed to use for races, subclasses, spells, etc. The ideal scenario is that I set a filter in the campaign settings and every character created within that campaign only sees options from the allowed sources. I should also be able to add homebrew items to the allowed list. This wouldn't just apply to character creation, but the entire campaign including the spells that show up when casters are choosing new ones on level up.
If an existing character is brought in that uses things not allowed for the campaign, there would be a clear warning stating that, with a list of the things that aren't allowed. On the character sheet itself, there would be a small warning icon next to the those items as well as a warning icon on the character for the DM to see.
What I'm looking for here is a way to make it easy for players to stay within the boundaries of the campaign without having me or them do extra work to make sure that the things they're choosing fit within it. I realize there are a lot of parts to this and implementing them isn't easy, but anything that could be done to make this easier would be welcome.
Here's a small request that should be relatively quick and simple to implement:
When your characters are loaded into the D&D Beyond mobile app, all their information is downloaded. Stats, current HP, even their picture (which is a nice touch.) But I'm rather surprised that frame coloration isn't.
I get that backgrounds aren't downloaded... at no point would they be visible in the app anyway. But I use different colored frames for each of my characters as an aid to indicate which character's page I'm on, even if I can't see the name (say, due to scrolling.)
It would be nice to have our characters in the mobile app use the same frame coloring that they have on the browser page for their sheet.
Can we please get a function to filter searchs by owned sources?! I have a bunch, but not all, and it's frustrating to have to click them all every time

NON-CHARACTER CREATOR:
Listings -> Spells -> Filter
Add “Range” option so we can search by Self/Touch/Ranged
(note not Ranged Attack-type)
We need homebrew mundane items

The character sheet has a section called "Extras" that allows for familiars, mounts and sidekicks.

I would love a custom spell list for a campaign. That way you can control what spells are "allowed" in a custom campaign world.
I believe it would give a DM a bit more control and ease for adding homebrew spells into a campaign so that it has a dedicated list.
