When creating characters, it doesn't show stats for basic starting equipment. It tells you to manage your equipment. Then when I go to manage it and add equipment only magic items are found. Will there be a way to include starting equipment options? Especially if you are starting a LVL 1 character.
Primary class is not automatically leveled when you level up, which is why this is happening to you. A window should really pop up asking if you want to multiclass or if you want to put your level into another class if you already have multiclassed, and if "no", just automatically level up your primary class. You should be able to make decisions for certain things in this window too, for stuff like Favored Enemy for Ranger. You can level your class up through the editor currently.
Personally, I would prefer to either have the builder anvil icon change to a level up icon that navigates directly to the class section of the builder or have a "Do you want to level up now?" message appear.
While a lot of DMs will allow you to level up on the spot, I have played games where the DM awards the XP at the end of the encounter but requires you to sleep or use your downtime to train in order gain a level, especially if you plan to multiclass into a new class. Having the choice of when you level up will allow players in a similar situation to record the XP while still adhering to the DM's restrictions.

The Powerful Build feature is not working on the Character Sheet for Goliaths, just calculates my carrying capacity without it. Also, for some reason it will not let me add more than one javelin even though my starting equipment says I can have four.
Would love the ability to export characters as pdfs, and I think the spellcasting section is a bit clunky, the process could be streamlined, maybe add the ability to choose spells by level instead of from one long list that needs to load as you scroll down. Also, I know they are only the basic rules for now, but when more are added there should be an option for unearthed arcana next to homebrew. Other than that, great work!
On skill proficiencies, others have mentioned good ideas for choosing, especially with regard to overlap. I will say that the way overlap works at the moment made me realize I was actually MISSING a proficiency in my game. Maybe in the updated skill chooser, you could include an automated note for when a skill has two sources to prod for choosing a replacement.
Something I noticed was that when choosing the dueling fighting style, it doesn't add to your damage bonus. That may already be in the works to fix but there it is.
I figure you'll probably be able to upload your own character art on release but just in case, that should definitely be a thing.
I'm not sure how the Battle Master maneuvers list is going to be set up but you might consider it being a full reference page and you can select which maneuvers you want so that it just grays out the other maneuvers when you've chosen your max. So you can still read them in between choosing.
I only read to page 6 of feedback before skipping here, so this is probably covered. Apologies.
Weapon proficiency seems to apply to all weapons. I created a lvl 1 deep gnome wizard and added equipment: longsword, dagger, and club. I should have only gotten the +2 proficiency bonus with dagger, but it applied to all.
This is important for starting characters especially, who may not start with their weapon of choice. The Rage of Demons adventure starts characters in a prison cell, for example.
Positive feedback: I will absolutely be buying the paid version of this! I just checked the app store, and there are apps for spell management, character sheets, encounters, etc., but nothing that allows you to manage the entire game within one app. Your interface is beautiful, and you have made some splendid artistic/style choices as a team! I love that you have focused on substance over style and kept everything clean and simple, very much in the vein of old school D&D. Everything feels very pen and paper, but with a 21st century twist. That's no small feat! Well done! I envision having each of my players create and manage their characters on a tablet or phone. When I ask for a stat or proficiency, characters will be able to click that item and turn their screen for me to see. Gone are the days of scouring a character sheet! Everything within the character sheet is so intuitively organized. Had I not watched the video on your homepage, I would have guessed that your team does play the game. You have your finger on the pulse. BRAVO! This may seem a trivial application, not terribly different from Fantasy Grounds or other applications, to some. But this toolkit does two things for me. First, as a former resident of Louisiana, where not many people play D&D, and a military veteran, I can see the value of using this app in combination with Twitch to create a long-distance gaming experience far more organic and connected than a dungeon-builder style interface. Second, I believe you have just unlocked the key to bringing players back to the (literal) table in an age where most technology is encouraging isolation and "solo" gameplay. You nailed it in your video when you said something to the effect of making the experience smoother and faster. As an old school player who believed nothing would ever dethrone 2E, you have tapped into the very thing that makes 5E so special. You are building upon its less fussy more fluid approach that can level characters faster, end game nights sooner, and keep everyone engaged. You have done a brilliant thing that just might bring young boys and girls back to a style of game play and comradery that was gasping for air!

Exporting is coming, don't you worry. It says "export it (character sheet) for printing", which will most likely initially export as a PDF.
When everything officially launches, will we be able to customize our characters more even if it does not follow the normal character rules? For instance, my DM allows me as a half elf to substitute a feat for the ability increases at 1st level but there is no way to currently do that.

That would probably require a homebrew race, which you should be able to create on launch.
I just came across an interesting bug. I accidentally added too much xp to my character and it leveled up. But now I can't level him back down a level. He's stuck at lvl 2, but I have 75 more points to go. I've tried to use the 'remove xp' tab but it doesn't work; and the drop down menu for levels won't go lower than 2. Bit of an annoyance for a simple mistake.

Things NOT Available Yet To make sure we don't waste anyone's time, here are a few things that are not currently included that will be later in the beta or for launch:
- De-leveling or removing classes. At this point, the process to remove classes and/ or character levels is not available, but it certainly will be before launch. This means that for now, if you level up with a character and make a mistake or change your mind, you can't edit adjust the level down. You can delete the character and start over, or if you can't bring yourself to do that, wait until we add the functionality.

You can't go down levels at this point. It's listed as something not currently implemented in the release notes for phases 2 and 3.
Under the "Backgrounds" I choose 'Noble', but the only option is POSITION OF PRIVILEGE. When would Variant Noble: Knight be available?
For the beta, only the rules and options provided in the D&D 5th edition SRD , D&D 5th edition Basic Rules, Elemental Evil Companion are available in Beyond. Once the full platform launches later this summer, the core rule books and others will be available for purchase, and the content within will be available for those that purchase, or have access through a DM's subscription.
The variant rules/sidebars are only found in the full PHB, not in the Basic Rules or the SRD.
I know the Export feature is still being finished, but will it have an option to export to formats other than a print version? I am really hoping we have an option to export to CSV, so that I can import my character into an Excel/Sheets app and customize how I would like my character sheet to look. The setup is amazing, but I am really particular on how the final sheet looks, and a CSV option would really allow a nice option for advanced customization.

Thank you I was looking into it more and realized I was reading the chart wrong.

And the monkey flips the switch~

Oh, thank you, I must of glanced over that one.

Okay, thank you! I'll have to ensure I save up to purchase everything.

We only have official access to specific materials, primarily the SRD. So if it is not there, we need to wing it and just test.
But, it does give the potential for something else to test to see if it works with Homebrew and just build it.... :)
UPDATE: Scratch that... no Class or Subclass Homebrew building appears to be operational at this time.... :(
