I'm unsure about the perks of sharing books in a campaign. I know it gives access to monsters and items for the encounter builder and for adding the items to your character sheet. But if I have all the source books and with my master tier subscription I share the content with a campaign in which I am a player. Can the DM and other players browse the books and the information within ?

Yes. In fact, if you are a player and own all the sourcebooks, and the DM owns all of the adventures, and a third person has a Master tier subscription and enables content sharing, then everyone in the campaign will be able to access all of your sourcebooks, and all of the DM’s adventure books too. It’s a “shares-all” button.

I'm currently sharing content with my players and they recently picked up a magic item (Polymorph Blade) that I can't add to a character. Typing "blade" into the add items box actually shows that a ton of magic items with that name are missing from the list.
I have checked to see that a) Everything I have is shared with them b) the Character Preferences page has all the options ticked for sources it can use.
What's the problem here?

Pardon my retreading an old question, but it has been some time since it was last asked, and there have been several mentions above about the developers possibly making a change:
When sharing content through a Master Level subscription, is this still an all-or-nothing proposition? Or has it become (as was noted as a possibility at different points) a more "granular" utility?
In a campaign where content is shared, DMs can turn off access to particular books. That does not turn off access to character options on that book. So, for example, a DM could turn off Tomb of Annihilation. The players wouldn’t be able to read the adventure, but they could create characters with the archaeologist or anthropologist background, and could addd yklwas to their equipment. I’m not sure whether or not it turns off access to monsters from that book in Game Rules>Monsters.
If someone shares a book with me do I have access to that content when I am creating a character? Can I use the artificer subclass info in Tasha's if I've got it shared with me through a campaign I'm in?
Content sharing is by campaign. So if someone in Campaign A turns on content sharing for that campaign, you can use content shared by the people with a PC in Campaign A. You won't be able to use the shared content when making any characters that aren't in that campaign. You could make a PC in Campaign A, remove it from that campaign, and add it to Campaign B, and it would still have all its stuff, but you wouldn't have access to level that PC up or possibly even swap out spells.
I have the shared content from our usual dm. Just wondering when/if the shared content is available for the site. Using phone atm for all this
Thanks

How do you enable content sharing in the campaign? I can't find it.
Also looking for the option! Did they block it?
If you have. master tier sub, when you go to the campaign page, you should have a button that allows you to turn on content sharing.

There is a limit to the number of campaigns a person can turn on sharing for at a time, though. I think it's currently 5?

Shayone | Hobgoblin | Sorcerer | Netherdeep
Ah, yes! The total is currently 5, and may return to 3 at some point.

Did you get a response to this? I am having the same issue as well but another DM's campaign I'm in I can see the specific sources he has shared.
