Playing the cleric, I opened tabs of the sheets of the rest of the group in order to keep track of their hit point levels. However, that means I have to refresh the page and that's 100 times as much of a hit to server resources than it needs to be.
So, maybe some sort of small widget size page can be constructed that collects the current conditions, current hp, and max hp of all the characters in a campaign?
I can definitely see where you're coming from here - and I believe this should be the case when the Combat Tracker implements the player-facing aspect of it (though I'm not sure of the details of how much information is shared to the PCs themselves). I can definitely pass this request along though!
If you can tell vaguely how damaged an enemy is, you should at least be able to tell to some degree how damaged your companions that you've been fighting with in multiple battles are.
So, maybe not HP per se, but the same hurt/bloodied/pretty injured type scale.

I foresee little red overlays on PC's avatars that cover more and more of the avatar as the PC's HP goes down. Visual indicator but no real numbers.

Knowing the other PCs hitpoints is metagaming

I agree, but knowing exact hp is too much

Maybe have an option on the DM's side to toggle between no indicator, Hurt/bloodied, or a full HP mode?
