I will post some UX/UI concerns on this thread as I encounter them (Desktop version/Chrome).
Login / Login credentials and social media: Forcing the user to create an account on a specific platform may decrease the engagement of new users, I suggest motivate users to create an account by offering distinct features available to Twitch account members, to avoid locking out users from the system and encourage participation.
Compendium / Search bar: There is no existing search bar in the Compendium section, this is an expected feature and will speed up navigation. Allows users to find specific items and their sections such as "grapple" or "longsword" in the cases where users do not know exactly where to look.
Compendium / Search + tags: Certain items would benefit from the addition of tags if a search bar is implemented, such as "Silvering" in the weapons section.
Compendium / Character Information: There is currently no information on character creation, This information may exist in a future section of the page, however as an information reference it should exist in both sections, or link from this screen to the other one.
Compendium / Go back and Outline Navigation: Once an item is chosen, use left box containing the outline of the information to allow going back to upper levels and explore other titles, this without exiting the current page of information, allows the user control of the navigation and the ability to compare the current content viewed to different sections, this helps reduce cognitive workload.
Compendium / Breadcrumbs: Titles in the breadcrumbs do not have a page and redirect the user to the main Compendium section, however, these are needed for user wayfinding. To avoid user confusion either create missing pages or remove links to non-existing pages, use distinct font underlining to distinguish links. Eg: HOME > COMPENDIUM > RULES > BASIC RULES > EQUIPMENT > ADVENTURING GEAR
Compendium / Aesthetics & White Space: Other sections of the site contain an appealing content of graphics and color, this section and items could benefit from the inclusion of graphics such as the ones found in the Conditions section of the PHB or in certain DM screens. The introduction of images and color allows users to take a break from the amount of white space and avoid eye fatigue.
Spells / Page focus on expanded item: When clicking on an item from the spell list, the page does not react to the expanding information, this is more noticeable when selecting the lowest item in your screen then needing to scroll down to actually view the information. The following GIF shows the interaction: Spell Item Focus
Spells / Page focus on advanced filters: If you scroll down until the tab "Advanced Filters" is at the top of the screen, the page then abruptly jumps all the way back to the top, this creates momentary confusion, I recommend an automatic re-scrolling to allow the user to follow the interaction. The following GIF shows the interaction: Advanced Filter Focus
Spells / Auto-complete Search Bar: Allow the search bar to autocomplete and suggest items for the search.
Spells / Reactive Spell list: Allow the list to react in real time and show only items that match fully or partially to the characters and words being written in the search bar, this improves navigation as there is a finite list of items.
Spells / Boxed Items: Using boxes for every item in the list creates unnecessary design clutter, you can save on screen real estate and remove clutter by merging the items of the list in one boxed option with separators. E.g. BoxedVsUnboxed
Spells / Lack of functionality (Personalized List): One of the main attraction of other third party spell-sites such as dnd-spells.com, is the ability to create personalized lists of spells, furthermore attaching a list of spells to a certain character or to create downloadable print-friendly pdf files. E.g. when creating multiple first level characters for an introductory session with new players.
