Given that Curse is distantly owned by Amazon, a preorder option that combines new books on Beyond and a shipped physical copy from Amazon in a single purchase wouldn't be terrible, even if it wasn't discounted much/at all. The real problem, I'd imagine, would be coordinating accounts and pricing across platforms (say, for someone who has the Legendary bundle discount on Beyond or Prime on Amazon).
Perhaps once Curse gets gifting/giftcard options up and running they could just sell digital codes for Beyond content on Amazon and bundle them with "fulfilled by Amazon" (i.e. drop shipped) copies of the books.
Given the lower prices on Beyond and Amazon's pricing on D&D products, it wouldn't end up being much more expensive than list price on the hardback.
That's about the only way I see physical/digital bundling happening any time soon.
Green Ronin Already does that with most of their books. Taking their lately arrived book, Critical Role tal'dorei guide. If you buy the book, physical copy, you also get free of charges the PDF that goes along with it. Of course you need an account for that to work. but isn't that what all of the websites do now a days ? Its so easy to just look at that account for what has been bought with it.
so i dont get why WOTC doesn't already do that. but then again, WOTC has always been behind on everyting compared to the rest of the world.

A big part of that can be answered by looking at where you can buy Green Ronin's book, and seeing that Wizards of the Coast has no similar purchase channel (i.e. greenroninstore.com being a thing, but wotcstore.com not existing).
Green Ronin is effectively paying for the "free PDF" out of the portion of the book price that would have gone to a distributor and a seller if you were buying a Wizards of the Coast book.
So I purchased the DMG and the players before I knew this site existed. I would like to use this site here but I also do like to have a hard copy on hand.
Is there a way to access those books on this site without having to purchase it again?

Short answer is no. There are a number of threads discussing why on the forums.

At this time, all purchases on D&D Beyond are for content on D&D Beyond only. Unfortunately, there is not a way to unlock the digital content if you have purchased the books. We realize and understand the concerns over re-purchasing content, but the material in D&D Beyond is in a different format and platform.
In the age of internet... Why isnt wotc doing it? Is the real question. The answer you just gave just how late wizard are to all others ! If doing it yourself is the best course of action in this age. Then why isnt wotc doing it? No they preffer to keep paying people to do it. An answer better then yours would be... They are a division of hasbro while greenronin is a single entity. Being a division of hasbro... Theyd need to go by hasbros store. But hasbros store is prettymuch wizkids. So why not simply go thru wizkids store which already do all of this ?
In all cases it comes back to the same question... If they have the ressources already... Why dont they do it ?

Your idea has some merit. A question and a comment. Do you get the free PDF if you buy from FLGS rather than their website? And, D&D Beyond is not a simple PDF. If Wizards made a PDF available, you'd still have to purchase content from D&D Beyond because you're purchasing a service, not just content. Personally I get why Wizards don't do PDFs, the amount of illegal sharing would be rampant and this solves a whole lot of headaches (for them). I know "Green Ronin"... but they're minor by comparison.
A minor company that lives off dnd mostly. That should tell you something.
When it comes to ddb... I preffer this to any pdf. That doesnt mean everyone loves this. A ton of people likes pdf doing this shouldnt stop wotc from doing pdf. Not when you consider how easy it can be scanned for like almost free.

They don't have the resources already. Your perception that the Hasbro Toy Shop (I presume that's what you meant by "hasbros store" since that's what showed up when I googled the phrase) is the same resource as the Green Ronin webstore is flawed. Yes, it is a webstore, and that's is one step in the right direction, but it does not appear to have the appropriate coding (and that also likely means not having the appropriate staff, which is the expensive part) to facilitate downloads or storage of digital documents - a thing I say because the webstore's FAQ tells a person to go to a different website or make a phone call to contact customer care if you are missing the instruction sheets to a board game.
Yes, your argument that WotC is "late" to adapt to the modern way of things still holds up... but only in-so-far as to say it proves that adapting to the "new way" is not something a company can just up and do without expense or risk - because if there literally weren't any reason not to change how they do things, and there were clear benefits to changing, then they absolutely would have changed already, because money-hungry corporate entities like Hasbro has to be to stay in business don't just leave money on the table.

Thinking about this further.
If you think they’re overpriced, you should try buying their stuff in Australia! I really don’t think price is the issue though. You’ll soon be able to get everything in an ebook and $30 is not outrageous for what you’re getting. You can already get the basic rules for free. You can share home brew content for free. I don’t buy the piracy/cost argument.
It strikes me that if Wizards wanted to release 5e as a PDF (aside from codes etc.) they could do it tomorrow, literally. Upload it all to DM’s Guild and boom, done. It probably wouldn’t be hard to add a one time use code. This is their official PDF distribution channel and that they haven’t done it says they simply don’t want to, not that they can’t.
Licensing through partners is their model for whatever reason. Spellbook cards are done through Gale Force 9 for example.
You may not buy it. But it is true... Low prices equal less likely to be pirated.
30$ im fine with. 90$ i am not ! Same with games. You really think im buying 90$ games for my switch ? Why do you think indie games have started surfacing so much. Not just because they are fun but because they also cost much less then the overpriced shit the bigger company releases.
If you wanna talk afordability you first have to stop selling your stuff at 500% of the price. Heck if my local game store were doing that theyd be broke already. Big companies really need to stop stocking the money... Thats not the system works !

The price of games has a lot to do with the money spent making them - indie games are often priced lower than the bigger company's games simply because there are less bills that need payed by the sales of the game (smaller teams, smaller offices, less advertising, often not physically manufacturing the game, etc.)
There is no magic greed-bump that gets applied to the price of a big-company game that indie producers are deciding not to apply to their own prices - the goal is to make enough money from game sales to keep making games and then keep that circle going, not to grab all the cash that can be grabbed with arbitrarily high prices and expect that to keep working even though people only pay for what they feel actually has value worth the expense. So it's not "500% of the price" it is 100% of the price, and you just happen not to want the things enough to pay the price - your not seeing their value is not their not having value.
I can't be the only person who is overwhelmingly dissapointed with the nature of Beyond. I was excited to dig and get stuff rolling and have tried a number of third party character builders, but thought it was time to come home to WoTC and enjoy the suite of tools they built. Unfortunately, I can't get past the concept that I have to re-buy content I already own.
If I could input this stuff myself as 'Homebrew' that would be fine. I'd spend the time to do that. But the fact that I can't even load up stuff from the numerous books I've previously purchased makes me not want to purchase anything else.
It just feels like nothing more than a money grab, and has really turned me off to not buying any future books, at all, physical or otherwise.

Am I just missing something here?
There's nothing stopping you from inputting stuff as private homebrew. Staff has already said that's perfectly fine. You can't make it public, of course, for obvious reasons. I'll also take this opportunity to reiterate that D&D Beyond is not made by WotC, but by Curse, so the developers deserve to be paid for all their hard work. If you prefer hardcopies, then buy the hardcopies. If you would prefer the digial books along with the digital tools, D&D Beyond fills that need. Nobody is forcing you to buy anything multiple times. This is just another way to play.
How about companies like say, the food market who buy their stuff like 30 cents and sell it 3$ ! how about the fact that books, have proven to be a liability by most writers, because they make next to no money off books. You know overpriced doesn't mean they get it into their pocket. it also can mean that it cost too much to create the said stuff. everybody knows it that wotc pay way too much for making those books. money wise its much better to turn it into PDF they would make more money.
as for greed bump, how do you decide then, how much money you should make off a thing you sell ? i mean counting everything that costed you things is great, but then what ? you are still not making money. you need to tell yourself how much worth should i be making, 15% in my pocket or more ? those companies decides that. i'd be so happy to see how much money wotc makes out of its books and i can tell you, its probably more then 50% of the price that goes into their pockets. You also have to wonder, how much of a millionaire is the CEO of WOTC and how even further is the billionaire of the Hasbro company... you really think they got this rich by just saying hey everyone will pay the cost of what we do and thats it. no at some point they decided how much they wanted in their pocket after all said and done.
you don't believe me on that one... then get into a provider and see for yourself how much it cost.

giving people the ability to create everything from their book on a free account would mean everyone could do this and thus they would lose a ton more then they already loses. giving people race homebrew and class homebrew would be like shooting themselves in the foot.

It's entirely possible I'm missing it, but I don't see a way to Homebrew in other class options, such as other Arcane Traditions for a Wizard?
Until everything is supported in homebrew, this statement is misleading.
