Im looking forward to the day that the homebrew options on the site include things like custom invocations, fighting styles, and others like that. Additionally looking forward to when 2024 characters can use the 2014 invocations similar to 2014 spells can be used if they haven't been adapted yet.
I want a way to notate current spell effects or situations *beyond* official Conditions... Like, if your character is Concentrating, or under the effect of a Bless, or Bane, a Haste spell, there should be a way to note that on the front page so the player can track when it runs out and can link to the effects of that spell.
Just adding a "Customize" field to Conditions would be sufficient to cover spells that are currently in effect, though there should definitely be an official toggled off/on for Concentrating.
I still want the Encounter Builder updated. Maps is nice and all, but the Encounter Builder is more useful for in person games.
Agreed... I don't use the Maps feature at all, as my descriptors are more "theater of the mind" or we use physical miniatures on a grid-map. But 7 years is a long farkin' time to be in "Beta." Update the Encounters, yo!
- A way to hard set rules for a campaign (All characters flagged for campaign to have Max HP, or point buy vrs roll set default, lock to specific books, etc)
I could *definitely* get behind this! As it is, I have to give players a list of what is allowed, and what is verbotten, *then* I have to go through everyone's characters with a fine-tooth comb to make sure they followed directions! Having all characters added to a Campaign link follow certain restrictions with the click of a few toggles would be downright *AWESOME!!*
Homebrewed items (or items in general) should have an entry with information visible to the players and one section which only the GM can see or a player the GM unlocks the secret entry manually. Many of my hombrewed items have have a special mechanic entry or some are cursed and such information spoils to much to the players when they can read it before putting an item on. Addionally it should be possible to make homebrewed stuff invisible in the listing. I know there is already the function to make it accessible as a whole to players of a specific campaign. But i talk about single items. Because i make a lot of homebrew items my players will get some time in the future, but i don`t want them to read the whole cataloge of possibilities before the time is there to give something out.
I know it's been said numerous times. They need to bring back the ala carte option for purchase. I used to pick up what I needed/wanted then eventually got the full book.

I would love this ability. I want to be able to give my players a sword or any magic item that they find, but not have to reveal all the properties of the sword. It breaks some of the mystery.

If they were to allow this, we could (with some effort) recreate the feel of older editions and limit the options players have currently.
1) To have a Sidekick builder using the rules from Tasha's (or updated rules if those come out). I have needed this for my campaign, as I have an adversarial adventuring party as a mirror to my PC's, but I don't want to have them all built out with actual player classes and levels (way too much for a DM to keep track of). I could just use monster stat blocks, but I like being able to level them up as the party levels up.
2) Give me the option to save my filters for sources for the Encounter Builder, Game Rules: Monsters, etc. I very much dislike having to go to the Sources filter and select from a dropdown (which is just a bad way to display something like that anyway) the 10-15 sources I have owned on D&D Beyond every time I want to find material I have access to to use in my game.
Would be nice to have an easy way to add things like more spells prepared, learned, available, or more spell slots without needing to make either homebrew items or a homebrew copy of the subclass with those tweaked.
Additionally, would be awesome to expand what is shared via the master tier stuff to include things like the maps
(1) Improved Encounter Builder (not tied to Maps) -- Maps are great don't get me wrong, but were only useful when playing virtual which my group hasn't done for a year+ now.
(2) Encounter Builder Improvement - Ability to level up monsters abilities/attacks on the fly.
(3) Encounter Builder Improvement - Ability to have monsters on the players side.
(4) Encounter Builder Improvement - Ability to more readily add monsters to the encounter
(5) Digital Support for Bastions would be amazing!

What I'd like is the stuff that was in the pipeline back in 2022 when Hasbro bought the tool:
1) Generic Features
2) Scaling Statblocks
3) Group Containers
4) Search Functionality Update

bring back the little gay wizard with rainbow mode
and please allow us to make custom non-magical items
This was the best feature on the sight imo
The party wizard was restored last week!

I just learned! Tis truly a joyous occurrence!
to be able to homebrew classes, not just subclasses, and be able to post on some forums like, Release issues and support.
I have traversed all the outer planes- I have traversed all the inner planes- now I travel to the land of earth to ride an airplane.

If you need lore, spells, heaps of information, come my way!!

This would allow us to make classes similar to how some classes were previously. Or we could add features to existing classes.

- Shared inventory within campaigns
- And/or pass items between character sheets
- And sharable Bastion sheets
I just want the Tattooed Warrior Monk class, please!!!!
