just wanted to say thank you... Used your AboveVTT for the first time last night for the Greenest in flames part of HotDQ, My players and I were all very impressed thank you very much
P.S. Incase anyone like myself was wondering "why oh darn it can't I get my google drive linky0 to work!?!" seems you need to convert them first they have a great tips and tricks bit on the AboveVTT discord server about it and other useful advice... otherwise a direct link to the site they suggest - https://buildbrothers.com/gdrive-generator/

“It cannot be seen, cannot be felt, Cannot be heard, cannot be smelt, It lies behind stars and under hills, And empty holes it fills, It comes first and follows after, Ends life, kills laughter.” J.R.R. Tolkien, The Hobbit, or There and Back Again
This is the toolset that we’ve been waiting for. Not overly complicated, very well integrated. My players and I will try this out soon. Thank you for making this, you’re amazing!
Update... used this during our game session. Worked very well, all of my players we’re very excited. I’ve just joined on Patreon and I suspect a some of my players will also. Thanks again, keep up the good work.
And things are getting updated and features added at a quite fast pace, the demo video already looks outdated compared to what the current version has to offer. Great work!
Make sure to: right-click -> 'Copy image address, that should work :) Also, we have an FAQ: And also you can join the discord if you want help with anything :)

First of all, HotDamn! AboveVTT is GREAT!! We usually use Roll20 for our virtual sessions and it sucks. It's super complicated, we're ALWAYS clicking the wrong layer and moving everything and having to put it all back, just UGH. It's terrible. We used AboveVTT last night for the first time and it was awesome. Super easy to use, integrates really well with DDB. We LOVE the play on words with the name too! Above & Beyond? Hilarious and amazing!!! The ampersand being the D&D one from their ampersand logo. Just brilliant.
Some features we'd like to see:
Patterned spell shapes like cones, lines, circles, etc (We're doing DtA and in Roll20 there's a rainbow cone you can use for Lulu's Glitter Shart. We love that.). We love the auras!
Vehicles you can drop on a map and scale.
The ability to hide, move or minimize the Jitsi window on the bottom. I like to project to my giant TV when I'm doing remote sessions. If I could dock and undock the Jitsi panel from the tabletop, I could leave that on my laptop and move the rest to my TV and use it like a second monitor. The docking/undocking idea would be so my friends who don't use a second monitor can still have it be on the same screen instead of a different window like zoom.
And the ability to control the sound of YouTube or animated maps independently of the Jitsi volume (There's that amazing animated map on the first page of YouTube maps with the Waterfall. We loved it but damn it was deafening. We couldn't find a way to turn down just the map.) .
Some or all of these things might be there already but we didn't find them.
--------------------------------------
So, I'm going over to Patreon right now to support this. Thank you so much for making it. DDB/Fandom, you'd be CRAZY not to hire this person or license this from them. HOLY CRAP. It's just perfect. AND THE NAME! Hahahahahahaha!!!! It's perfect.
Someone needs to do the graphical layout of the Above & Beyond with the little superscript VTT after above and the dragon Ampersand with the Beyond typeface in red.
What is interesting about this is that it uses all of the DnDBeyond code, so if DDB sneezed it would break, compared to a traditional VTT which is not dependent on the DDB API.

Token template for spells should come in the next version :)

The DM can set the volume of the youtube map from the "audio menu" . But.. audio is still experimental so expect bugs :)

You, Sir or Madam, are the hero we have longed for!
My first impression is: awesome!
I will do some playtesting with my players asap. Keep up the great work!
This is looking great!
Any chance that you will put the code on github or something similar so that we can help with the developement?
it's already there.. https://github.com/cyruzzo/AboveVTT
This was genius! Thank you!!

This seems awesome. Haven't tried yet but I'm excited to check it out. Commenting here to follow updates.
Has anyone else had a hard time changing token image urls? When I paste the URL in Firefox, everything goes batty and the link never loads

Thank you for the response and suggestion! Where do I find a link to the discord? I would love to join it!
Link for the discord is on the main installation page for the extension.
My rather lamentable house attempt to say thank you to the AboveVTT team
it's all done in AboveVTT with a browser capture of a players view...

Wow, this is great. I am hosting a PBF game and it's great for that too. So easy to use! Keep up the great work!
I know you are still working on the tokens but some basic numbers and letter tokens are always appreciated.
What is interesting about this is that it uses all of the DnDBeyond code, so if DDB sneezed it would break, compared to a traditional VTT which is not dependent on the DDB API.

Yep. This is totally dependent on DDB to work. It's not a "full VTT" but a fan-made addon :)
I agree they should license it from you :-)
