Apologies if this has already been asked... When I create an encounter of say 4 Goblins and 2 PC's... How do I split the Goblins up in terms of initiative order? Thanks!

If you are asking how to have it so that you have 2 goblins parties in the initiative with 2 other players. you would build a goblin encounter with 4 goblins and add the encounter to the initiative twice. Then you would remove two goblins from each of the Goblins in the encounter. This way you have two different goblin parties with their own initiative. Once you do this you add your players and then you drag and drop them in the order you want them.
Your Result will look like this
However, if you are asking how to add player characters to an encounter, that isn't possible, you would have to create the character as a homebrew monster and add it that way.

So I spent an hour or so last night loading in encounters for the first few levels of my campaign. I ****ed up and added some monsters with the static health instead of the rolled health. It might just be me, but I can't delete a monster from an encounter once I've added them. I just have to delete the whole encounter and start over. Anyone else noticed this or is it a problem on my end?
Thanks for this it is awesome. One thought and sorry if it has been suggested already.
Just a quality of life suggestion:
With regard to the initiative tracker for any monsters etc. is it possible beside their health number to have a simple + or - like you do in the encounter section when you scroll over monsters health number (i.e. goblins 7). Currently whenever you want to change health in the initiative section for a monster a pop up comes up where you plus or minus health. Just think it would be simpler to have a click up or down beside the number vs the pop up.
Just noticed something I'm pretty sure is related to the dice roller--when I go to edit a homebrew monster, any items in the text box being parsed by the dice roller (to hit, damage dice) mysteriously disappear:
I confirmed that this only happens when the D&D Toolbox extension is active. Not a huge deal, but I was working on editing a number of monsters today and didn't realize it was happening until it was too late, so I'm going to have to go back in and fix several of them. Whatever the case, I thought you would want to know about it. Guessing that the dice roller to is parsing text it shouldn't be such as editable textboxes (at least I can't think of any reason why it would need to) so hopefully it's an easy fix?

So it was a pretty easy fix, I was even able to do it before I got ready for work this morning. I have pushed an update that should resolve this issue.
Tried the other two plugins but like this one best. Great job for making DND Beyond usuable as a table top asset. One question, why can you only add an entire encounter to the initiative tracker? Can we somehow reorder monsters and players together? Right now I'm only able to order either the encounter first/last entirely (i.e. all monsters) or the players. Would be nice to have them as a single, flattened list.
//edit Reading up. Doh. See it is a feature request for ease of use than :).
//edit2 by the way, after installation I was seriously looking where the hell it went. Saw a grayed our icon as extension in chrome. Only later noticed that [toolbox] was added on the D&D bar itself. It integrated so well it looked like a part of the site. Job well done I’d say.
One thing I've noticed is that some people have dice rolls in their names in the forums. If the dice roll is a part of another link, button, or other clickable entity, could you exclude it from parsing?

Thank you as the first one can I get more clarification on what you are asking for? You are able to add monsters and players to the initiative order, just keep hitting the add button in their perspective groups.
Unless you are talking about the feature that is to have the add button ask you for a number and auto sort that people as you add them? Sorry, I am just not fully sure what you are asking and thank you for any clarification you can add.
EDIT: Are you asking, why can't you add a single monster to an encounter so they appear like Characters do?

Differently, some I can do probably should have done by now, well be in the next update.
As for other updates, this weekend I played again with my friends and here is going to be my main focus for the next update.
The ability to track rounds and add effects for players. So if a player cast a spell like a moonbeam on round 3 the dm will be able to say that it was cast on round 3 and it lasts 10 rounds. At the end of each round, all you have to hit is new round and it will add up. Going to work on UI design and other stuff like that but this should help the DM keep track of everything going on.
I was asking how to have monsters and players mingle indeed. Just in case an encounter is too large to have as one single group for the initiative. Adding the encounter twice and removing a couple does perfectly what I need. Thanks!
The way I've been approaching that is creating separate encounters, like for example if an encounter is 5 gobbos and an ogre, and I want the gobbos to have the same initiative but the ogre separate, I'll create one encounter that's just the goblins and one that's just the ogre, naming the encounters such that I know they go together, and then just add both encounters. A little more work on the front end but seems to work fairly well imo.

So my group played on Saturday and I've found a small work around for content sync issues.
I like to have up multiple tabs with everyone's character sheets up so I can reference them when I need to. If I just have a billion tabs up in chrome, the toolbox doesn't stay closed on some tabs and open on others. What works for me (mostly just because I have a 2 monitor set up so I have a fair deal of screen real estate) is to have up a single page of dndbeyond up with the toolbox in chrome so I can track the encounters/initiative and whatnot. Then I pull up firefox with all the other stuff I need (I could also run an incognito window of chrome too I suppose since extensions don't run on those tabs).
It's a quick and dirty fix but I dont have to worry about the content becoming out of sync when I swap tabs or having the toolbox being pulled up on the windows I don't need it.
Otherwise it worked amazingly. The features that are clutch for me right now are the scroll wheel use to change your monster health, and being able to hover over the mob to get a popup of the monster's stat block. Saves a lot of desk space not having to have the monster manual out all the time.
Looking forward to seeing the dice roller added back in soon and what else is to come!
Thanks so much for all your hard work!

No problem, I should probably make videos or something to help with questions like this. lol

Whelp that sounds like an issue. I am feeling extremely under the weather... So I'll probably look into it tomorrow.

If you have a mouse wheel you can scroll up and down. I was looking into adding a plus in minus, but it clutters up the interface.
I am working on an optional features, so I may include that as an option in a later release.
