I'm looking for a handout to give my players summarizing the history of Myth Drannor, without giving away all its details. As such, the Forgotten Realms Wiki won't do, as it gives away everything about the city's history, which I want to be left shrouded in mystery. Does anyone know of something?
You could always copy the stuff from the wiki into a word processor and delete the parts you don’t want them to know. And then forbid them from googling it themselves, of course.

I'm hoping I won't have to resort to that. If nothing turns up though, it looks like I'll have too, but it would save a lot of time if I didn't, so I'm hoping something will turn up.
Well there was a Forgotten Realms Player's Guide for 4e that you can get through DriveThruRPG. It has lots of things for Myth Drannor, in particular links to the classes (swordmage, which I played for the whole 4e campaign, amazing class, one of the only ones that I would really like to see well done for 5e actually), but also a two pages summary of Myth Drannor for players. The price might be a bit steep for only those two pages, though, and I can't copy them here for obvious reasons, but it contains sections about common knowledge, regional features, people of Myth Drannor, Adventurers from there and character motivations.
And here a short excerpt from the intro: "This ancient elven kingdom was once the foremost power north of the Sea of Fallen Stars before it fell into darkness seven centuries ago. It remained a monster-haunted ruin for hundreds of years until the sun and moon elves reclaimed the kingdom shortly before the Year of Blue Fire. Myth Drannor has flourished since its refounding."
Hopefully that will give you enough information to see whether you want to buy it or not.
Thanks man! That's exactly what I'm looking for, and the book will be great for other places too.
