Hello all, I'm starting early to prep for a game I'd like to run of the Lost Mines. I bought the digital books (and have the physical starter set as well). I was looking through the digital and saw they did include the pregen characters, but I was a bit surprised to see they're just in the form of a PDF download. I just went through the process of trying to recreate the first "fighter 1" as a character, and while it wasn't all that difficult, it was time consuming (and some of the custom background options were difficult to override). I guess the main question here - I can't be the only one who has recreated these pregens and yet, I wouldn't know where to search or how to search to see if I can just copy/import a pregen that someone else has made public? Is that even possible?
update: I was just searching online and it seems there is no way to import/copy characters from another user. :( I'll post this anyway in case there is something I'm missing or overlooking. Thanks for any advice.
I had the same experience and was eft disappointed. I was expecting them to at least be available as a preset in the character creation menus. It seems like that would be a good solution.
Thanks! I put the time in and recreated the characters. I think I have to go back and look over spells though. I hope they implement this ability to "share/copy" characters, that would be amazing. edit: typo
Note that as of just a few days ago, there is a "premade" option in the character builder: 11 premade/pregenerated characters are there that one can claim. On the post-D&D Direct stream, the DDB staff indicated that all the Lost Mines pregens were there; that certainly seems to be the case looking at the list and comparing a few of the characters.
