It would have been better if Demiurge Colossus said "Your reach increases by an additional 5 feet for a total of 10 feet."
But then you have things like bugbears that already have a 10’ reach. Or people using reach weapons. Or bugbears using reach weapons. So they can’t really give a fixed value for the final reach, since the base can be 5-15 feet.

Agreed.
The only thing that is unclear is the actual intention. Giant Stature gives +5ft, which is fine. Demiurgic Colossus gives +10ft, but is that total increase (so 15ft reach for most characters) or does it.stack with Giant Stature for an increase of 15ft (20ft total reach for most characters)?

Since it's not the same ability, they stack. No need to go pretending that it's harder to figure out than it actually is- we already knew that a bugbear with a pike had a 15' reach for attacks on their turn. Each of these abilities is explicitly adding to your reach, not giving you a new fixed value.

Yes. I misunderstood. I thought we were talking about the first ability that adds 5’ I see now it was the second that adds 5 to that for 10 total. Thanks for clarifying.
Honestly, as a major sorcerer fan it feels like a direct slap in the face that rather then a revised Giant Soul sorcerer they made a Runecarver Wizard. Like I know logically giant soul is dead and the Runecarver is decently well balanced and very thematic, but like god dammit can the sorcerer have nothing without the wizard coming along and stealing it.
I dont think they have nearly enough new giant content to make a giant themed book. They already have some extra giants in Volo's and now M3, and regular giants aren't to common in 5e.
Having other non "true giants" as well might make a book more possible, but I think that since they already did loads of lore in Volo's, they couldn't add much without completely changing the same lore. But hey, I'de always love a book all about giants either way.
Edit: Maybe a book with just a bit more stuff on giants might work? And then the rest has different stuff or monsters/lore or whatever. But again, Volo's already did that.

"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.

BoringBard's long and tedious posts somehow manage to enrapture audiences. How? Because he used Charm Person, the #1 bard spell!

The first thing I thought about was the Magic set Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths.
