They mention "That draft language was provided to content creators and publishers” but we’ve heard from several creators that WotC gave them that ‘draft’ to sign. I don’t know any lawyers who ask people to sign draft contracts. That’s BS
They mention that "our drafts included royalty language designed to apply to large corporations attempting to use OGL content”. None of the companies their new license affects are large corporations. They're the only large corporation in this situation. That’s BS
They mention that "Our plan was always to solicit the input of our community before any update to the OGL”. But they where going to announce a new OGL today. When exactly where they going to get this feedback before they dropped your new OGL into everyone else’s laps? Again, BS
Now… I first read the statement during lunch, and reading it again now, I’m noticing they removed the part about how the community didn’t win and WotC lost and instead we both won… and I’m realizing they removed that bit. So obviously someone who doesn’t drive an expensive sportswear and doesn’t have a tiny ego came to their senses and realized that was even more insulting than the BS above...
Over the weekend, some friends mentioned they where really interested in trying out D&D and asked if I would DM a game for them. I told them I don’t run D&D anymore but I’d be happy to run something better. We’re playing a variation on Dungeon World (that’s not published under the OGL)
When they're ready to be on the side of their fans again, I’ll think about running D&D again.

Assuming you mean this bit: "Those people will only be half right. They won—and so did we" - that's still in there.

I honestly thought it was a meme. Kind of not profession and very insulting. But time will tell. Will the ire and anger of the community outlast the patience of the corporate end game.

The Director of Games at Kickstarter said that Wizards had already contacted them to adjust pricing to include a 25% kickback to Wizards on any project. That doesn't sound like they were "in the testing phase" it sounds like they were actively enforcing the new OGL.
@jonritter Kickstarter was contacted after WoTC decided to make OGL changes, so we felt the best move was to advocate for creators, which we did. Managed to get lower % plus more being discussed. No hidden benefits / no financial kickbacks for KS. This is their license, not ours, obviously.

(1) Our job is to be good stewards of the game: Wrong. We are the stewards of the game. You print books.
(2) the OGL exists for the benefit of the fans: Wrong. The OGL exists to benefit Wizards. 3rd party Creators have made your game what it is today.

I just read the Update post on dndbeyond.com:

This post feels insulting and disingenuous.
