i was wondering what some of the weirdest class and race combinations would be. like a class that you would never imagine a character of a pinoy channel a certain race to ever play as. lore wise, or mechanic wise. like a goliath rogue, or a gnome barbarian. you know, weird stuff like that.
A minotaur Monk. Roundhouse hoof kicks, (even more) devastating headbutts, aerial somersaults, backflips, and a snorting man-bull's best imitation of Bruce Lee's wild cry.

It was incredibly fun. In my head-canon, he looked like a stereotypical garden gnome, but upon raging, his little gnome outfit would shred off at the biceps.
Unfortunately, it's been removed from D&D Beyond, so if I do end up taking that, I have to put everything back in manually which is a bummer.
Just so you know, if you have any character with it applied it still has it. So you can edit the race to dwarf etc... and you have a new character. I still have quite a few UA characters that have been removed from Dndbeyond because I don't ever really delete my characters.
I'm playing a Fire elemental (homebrew race kind of like a fire Genasi) Rogue. It was my first character I created for an actual campaign and I thought it was a one shot at the time. I picked both at random because they sounded interesting. It's definitely a strange combo. Y'know being stealthy while basically on fire. But honestly she's my favorite character I have and I genuinely love the juxtaposition.
The fairy race, when i first read it, my initial inspiration was a dual classed swarmkeeper rune knight. With a pixie swarm and whenever something chased me like it wanted to eat me I go giant size and grin as it tries to chomp my toe.
For the old school out there, a Dwarven Wizard. Just because once upon a time it wasn't a thing, at all, for very clear reasons, and now it's possible, but I've still never seen it done (for obvious reasons).
I DMed a Phandelver campaign recently with a Dwarven wizard. With Dwarven combat proficiencies it was a lot like a multi class fighter/wizard.

Yeah. Awesome.
I think I mentioned this one in a similar thread, but my boyfriend once played a kobold paladin.
Hombrew: Way of Wresting, Circle of Sacrifice

I once made a Rouge Mastermind/Warlock of Vol/Bard, College of Whispers.
What's the other class?
"Sooner or later, your Players are going to smash your railroad into a sandbox."
-Vedexent
"real life is a super high CR."
-OboeLauren
"............anybody got any potatoes? We could drop a potato in each hole an' see which ones get viciously mauled by horrible monsters?"
-Ilyara Thundertale

Not a race/class combination but multiclassing wizard and sorceror seems like an odd choice.

I am playing a half-orc cleric life doman/palidan/rouge
Dwarf Wizard. When i started playing, dwarves had issues wiht magic items and couldn't be wizard. It stayed with me and i have never played one.
Goliath Monk (Drunken Fist)
I'm planning a Loxodon Gloomstalker called Indy Rume, :D
Centaur with a Bard, Warlock, and a Paladan
I have a buddy of mine playing a Tiefling Druid which is CN since it's essentially a demon who loves plant. Hes is also obsessed with foxes
DruidVSAdventure
Check out my Homebrew Class The Evoker
A gnome or fairy rune knight. :D
An Orcish Bladesinger/Barbarian...
goliath sorcerer?
Actually that's why I played one. That and the fact that a mountain dwarf gets to use both weapons and armor not usually allowed a wizard.
Loxodon, or Centaur, Drunken Master, seems entertaining.
