Hi All! I will be running LMoP in the near future and I'm trying to get everything set up in a way that's most helpful for my players, two of which are young teenagers with very limited DnD experience (a couple of one-shots apiece).
If I understand correctly, it seems content sharing is fairly all or nothing? At the top of the Content Management page, accessible after enabling sharing, on the created campaign it says:
"Blocking a source will hide compendium content to prevent players from reading it unless they own it. No options or content will be removed from other tools such as the character builder, character sheet, or encounter builder."
I would love my players to at the very least have access to what's in the PHB for building their characters, but as someone who owns every adventure and sourcebook (save for KftGV just because I haven't gotten around to it yet), I don't want to utterly overwhelm them either. I will be walking them through the character builds, but even *I* get stressed scrolling through absolutely everything sometimes. Am I correct in my understanding that there's no way to share just one, or just a couple, sources to the character builder for players in a campaign? Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.
not only that, but if you have added any homebrew to your options, it is also included.

I believe homebrew stuff that you have are shared whether Content Sharing is on or not, so what you can do is to disable Content Sharing, but create homebrew copies of the stuff in the PHB.

Correct.
