Double check the privacy setting on the character sheet (on the "Home" tab of the character builder). If it is set to Campaign Only or Private instead of Public, the sheet won't have a share button.

I am having the same issue except that I do have my setting as Public. I want to copy the share link to my game in Forge Foundry VTT and no can do without the proper URL! I even went as far as to subscribe Master Tier....just in case. GAH!!!!
Make sure the character is set to public at the bottom of the first page in the character builder, then open the character and copy the URL. Then share that URL however you want, email, messages...
That is how I do it. There may be other ways?

So just use the actual URL. I don’t understand the problem
When I watched a different video for using the D&D Beyond Importer YouTube video on how to do the import, the format for the link was ddb.ac/characters/{character#}/{somekey} so I didn't think the actual URL would work. Maybe I should have tried it. One way or another I will post back with the results.
BTW: "I don't understand the problem" is a little snobby. But, thank all the same. :-)
I figured it out. Fresh eyes on coffee in the morning. Though I had the settings on Public, the character was actually on Campaign. I changed it to Public and VOILA, the share link showed up and all was well.
Thanks for the quick feedback from everyone. Happy venturin'!

Hi all,
I can't seem to figure out how to generate a share link for some of my characters here.
One of them has a "Share" box next to the "Short Rest" box, but the other characters do not.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
Try going to the 'My Characters' page, then clicking on the character you want to share. Do you see the 'Share' box then?
