I definitely can't wait for these two adventures, the first heist will be a nice change of pace, and the massive dungeon in the second will be really fun, and help me build my own mega-dungeons.
On a side note, does anyone have any idea when these might be added to the legendary bundle? I want to get everything, but if I can just purchase the Legendary bundle then it would make it easier.

Because it will be one purchase? I don't understand. Once you purchase the Legendary Bundle, the discount will be applied to every purchase going forward, so price-wise I don't think there is a difference. The two books will come to DDB on their release dates, one in September, the other in November, and that seems like a long time to wait to make use of the materials if you have the money and can pull the trigger at any time. Both are available for pre-order now.
There is also the DDB25 discount code which you could apply to one purchase. I am not sure if it can be used on the LB, but if not, you definitely can use it on the pre-order. I did so, both books at the same time, and got the LB discount (I've had the LB for a while now.) plus the DDB25 discount. It cost me around $31.
I just didn't want to make two separate purchases. But as long as the 15% discount still applies to preorder purchases, I don't see why I shouldn't just make the two separate purchases, using the 826la code for 25% off the Legendary bundle, and the DDB25 for 25% off the two pre-order books, since you can't combine coupon codes from what I've seen.
I'm dreading the heist module, I think my DM is going to probably use it, and that more or less guarantees 5 levels of boredom for me.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.
I would prefer to see more-useful commentary from the community on these adventures. It appears we either have 1) people who will probably play or use this content, but complain that it’s already been done before (N.B., I’m of the position that all of the remixed content for 5e has been some of the best table-top RPG content in the past few decades), 2) people who are in a constant state of hate, so they complain intensely about how Forgotten Realms is the default 5e world.
It’s like Wizards can’t win: You either have haters who hate on old content being new or haters who complain that Wizards hasn’t released old content that is still available to be used for 5e.
In 1987, we had ~5 options: Forgotten Realms, Dragonlance, Greyhawk, Lankhmar, and Blackmoor. Or at least those are the ones we knew about or that you could buy in game stores. Sure, a few of us had Internet, or more-likely, BBSes, where we could get user-contributed content from afar — but mostly TSR’s AD&D was selling books and boxes at comic-book stores or hobby stores.
Forgotten Realms was, by far, the most-advanced worldbuilding ever instilled into a product. It’s been continuously worked on since its release. We played other settings, and some of them, like Dark Sun, Eberron, and Ptolus, were completely-amazing — just as good as The Realms, Dragonlance, or Greyhawk — sometimes even better. However, the content and the distribution, packaging, and community for non-Realms became splintered in the past 2 decades compared to The Realms. It’s not cohesive. Sometimes, it’s not even complete — which I guess is where the ask comes from. I just ask that you make it an ask instead of a complaint!
I’m not saying we have to play Forgotten Realms, but I agree with it as the choice of comfort in Adventurer’s League and in the mainline , official 5e content. Waterdeep and Undermountain are welcome additions. There have been quite a few original D&D/AD&D content concepts that has made their way into the official 5e setting/content, such as ElementalEvil, AgainstTheGiants, Strahd, ForbiddenCity/TombHorrors, et al. If these can be reskinned — then so can anything. As a DM, it is up to you to build your world and invite your players. Look at the success of Critical Role.
Do we want a big city with a big undercity? Yes. Do we want content that explores powerful enemies and sprawling dungeons? Yes. Ok, then start praising the work being done here. Start putting the ideas to use in positive ways.

I just know that I am drooling over the thought of these books, but it might be due to the stroke I had last year?
Yeah I definitely want some of those :(

Downloaded the digital book first thing, the maps are missing, the link goes to the cover art.
