Is it normal for "Two-Weapon Fighting" to show up as a bonus action on all my character sheets? If so, why does the "Dual Wielder" feat exist? The way the feat is worded makes me think its purpose is to allow attacking with both an action and a bonus action, but it seems like any character can already do that with Two-Weapon Fighting.
If all characters have access to Two-Weapon Fighting, the only real benefits of the feat that I see are the Quick Draw and the increased Ability Score. Am I missing something, or is that the main point of the feat?
Two-Weapon fighting style allows you to add your mod to the bonus attack damage.
Dual Wielder allows you two draw/stow both weapons with one item interaction, increases your AC by +1 when dual-wielding, and allows you dual-wield any non-heavy weapons.
So the Dual Wielder feat can allow you dual-wield rapiers or longswords for example.
That is strange because in the sheet it says "That extra attack must be made with a different Light weapon, and you don't add your ability modifier to the extra attack's damage unless that modifier is negative".
Actually you can’t dual wield long swords or rapiers anymore. The dual wield feat requires that you attack with a light weapon before you attack with a non two-handed weapon so you can do rapier and dagger or long sword and short sword ( or scimitar) but not 2 longswords/rapiers/etc.
This was a very sad change for me. I had a few Champion fighters that were just living chainsaws with that build... I'm not very big on Homebrew but maybe one day it will be allowed again. I imagine the weapon masteries may have pushed it over too far :(

The difference between a 1d6 weapon and a 1d8 weapon isn't really that big a deal.

It's the fantasy. You're the strongest mofo out there, able to carry 1000lbs but can't use a longsword in one hand? I guess if min/max is the only thing people go on now, I can understand but what good now are the one handers if you don't want to use a shield? From my experience shields are not all that great for 5e (2014).

Hello there

Anyone can two-weapon fight. The feat lets you retain certain bonuses that you wouldn't normally get otherwise.
The str or dex modifiers for the damage roll?
Two-Weapon fighting style allows you to add your mod to the bonus attack damage.
Dual Wielder allows you two draw/stow both weapons with one item interaction, increases your AC by +1 when dual-wielding, and allows you dual-wield any non-heavy weapons.
So the Dual Wielder feat can allow you dual-wield rapiers or longswords for example.
This is a signature. It was a simple signature. But it has been upgraded.
